Kinda cute...not that I would put it in my home. Reminds me of the fold down seats on the Metro in Paris.

I think it's actually pretty attractive, but it doesn't look all that comfortable, and it really has to be the kind of space where you're dead sure that you're not going to need/want the option of having anything else in front of it.

Although I can't quite imagine why this next idea would be necessary... I think that a bunch of these next to each other would look great as a pattern/dado kind of situation.

I agree - several in a row would look good - good for an entryway whe you just want a place to put your shoes on, etc.

A kid would probably love this too...

I think it's brilliant. I was just looking at those fold-out wall-mounted tables from IKEA and wishing they made a chair like that. Et voila! This would be great for a narrow entryway for putting on your shoes. I kind of like the way it looks, too--sort of nautical, like something you'd see on a ferry, maybe.

I worked on an ocean liner and there were in fact fold-down seats like this in some crew cabins. With space at a premium (imagine 4 full-gown men sharing a 10x10 cabin) - these allowed dressing & seating space. I also saw fold down desks.

Come to think of it - ship's cabins are the ultimate small cool.

i'd break it instantly and i know it. no good for moi, that thing would come right out the wall...

i looked at the site and I have to say the price is steep. However, there are other options in their non-wood category - the colors there are fun too - I like the orange seat!

Since my very small kitchen does have to double as my mud room, I must say I'm very tempted....

This Chair is GREAT for a small space. My shoe closet is next to the exit door and I always wish I had a chair like this so I don;t have to go back into my living room to put shoes or boots on. (I kept thinking only if I could find an old movie theatre chair and cut and install it.) The only thing I would change to this (personal preference) I would color it some BRIGHT Orange, or vivid Blue.

Another smart idea. I am wondering if I can fashion something similar that would not only be less costly but also a bit more comfortable (that one looks like it would be OK for a quick perch but nothing longer). My dining room could use something like this for when we have dinner parties larger than our 6 chairs can accomodate. Off to the drawing board!
