Does anyone here own the Snap Sofa by Todd Oldham? I'm thinking of getting two of them (each 64 inches) to form an "L" sectional.

Is it comfortable enough to lounge in, i.e., watch tv, etc.?

Also, Lazyboy does not carry any of Oldham collection at all in the DC area. Is his NY store the only place to check out the sofas?

Thanks. David

Where in NYC, other than Canal Rubber or Canal Plastics, can one buy thick foam for padding a bench or headboard? All of those places are closed on Sundays and I would really like to buy it tomorrow.

Would a large Home Depot carry something like this? Or a large fabric store? I was just at my local Home Depot and everyone looked at me like I had a million heads.

Can anyone recommend a reliable electrician who would do a small job in NYC? I finally found a great wallpaper installer. . .BUT, after I replaced a wall sconce, the wallpaper installer removed it, and I then reinstalled it, the sconce just won't work.

I use a dimmer switch that has a small light for finding the switch in the dark and this light is indeed lit, but neither my new sconce nor my old one work, so I guess it's time to call in the cavalry. But I cannot find ANYONE who will even return phone calls on this small job. Any troubleshooting tips or leads on electricians are very welcome!

we're looking for a wood frame sofa or love seat. we don't really want a futon but need something that our cats won't destroy. they are both vertical scratchers.

we really like the Belmont sofa from Pottery Barn, although it's quite pricey ($1500) and we can't test it out before buying.

we will consider spending up to $1000.

any ideas?
