Real Simple had a nice little chart a while back that I stuck on my fridge with daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal cleaning. Sort of a reminder/schedule. I couldn't find the short version like the one I have, but they have a loger version online (as well as a gazillion other cleaning tips and ideas): http://www.realsimple.com/realsimple/gallery/0,21863,1033650,00.html

What - nobody wants to post cleaning projects? Ok. I'm going to TRY to clean out my small deep freeze, which is half-full of nearly empty boxes and bags of old foodstuffs. There is very little in there that is useful food at this point - some chicken breasts and some sugar-free freezepops, I think!

But as I've posted in other threads, I have painting and de-cluttering projects on the go, so the freezer is an if-I-get-to-it thing.

I have recently been cleaning things that have been neglected for years. My lunch box collection on top of the kitchen cabinets, were covered with layers of dust. I cleaned most of the boxes. Collections are a pain, because they are generally dust collectors. My fridge needed a general wiping down and the drawers inside were littered with garlic & onion skins. After that cleaning, my kitchen floor was a mess and promptly needed mopping. I actually cleaned the inside of my oven too. There is so much to do in a day in this place, I wonder how I have a life on top of all this cleaning. The 2 cats track litter everywhere. I generally have a cleaning lady come once every 3 weeks, but I think I need to have her every other week. I don't do grout cleaning well.

Does anyone have experience with those small steam cleaners? I've seen the scunci brand around for between $60 and $80 and wonder if they're worth it.
