Thanks Pixie!

Chirstine -- Those kitchen curtains are really cute! I've seen that before with plain-old-dishtowels, but you've chose such nice ones...

Yahoo! The wall around the sliding patio door AND the hallway to the bath/bedroom is painted! YAY!

The wall around the sliding door was a huge pain, because the plaster was all crumbling away from age/moisture. I brought in some family help on this one - it took a day to repair it all properly, but it looks great!

Maybe someone else has some thoughts on this for me. My patio doors are of the standard, metal sliding variety, and there is no trim of any kind around the window/door frame. I don't know whose brilliant design this was, but I'm trying to deal with it as best I can without investing a lot of money in a rental. I am thinking of slapping a bunch of coats of polyurethane around the door frame (where it was crumbling) to protect it from moisture and postpone the inevitable disrepair of plaster. Does this make sense?

I will post pictures of the paint job later in the week, when I can move everything back into place.

I finally made it through all of my renewing to-dos on Sunday. I feel pretty productive, so I'm going to wait a bit until I assign myself a new batch. Here are pics of my new curtains...

Wow Mary, those curtains are great.

Dorianne, I can't believe how much you've done this month.

Okay, my attempts at "renewal" are really just plain old nesting...since I just moved in in August, I'm still feathering my nest. Finally took pics of my new glass bathroom shelves--I'm happy they're staying up. It was my first shelf hanging project. The kitchen curtains are actually dishtowels...I figure if I tire of them, I can use them to dry dishes! I am using hooks on the curtain rod to hold utensils...I was going to buy a separate rod to hang under my stove, but I kind of like the way they look, especially when they're all out. I hung the pictures too...though I'm not sure how I like them there, they hold good memories.

Your projects look great! You HAVE been busy Dorianne! I bow down....

I hope this link works...

Go, Christine! I'm using dishtowels as curtains, too. I've used tablecloths before, since I couldn't find curtains or just plain fabric that I liked. I like that kitchen corner of yours.

Thanks! I'm REALLY fond of orange and pink these days...hence the pink curtains in my bedroom too. If you're interested, I got them pretty cheaply at target...'fraid to say! ;) I'm really liking them because they add privacy without cutting off all the light.
