I was so inspired by the AT project that I went to Century 21 in search of a comforter.
1) My favorite color scheme is white on beige.
2) I've had a comforter by Adrienne Vitadini for years but it's on its last legs.
3) It's been years since white on beige is available. So I went to the store with a positive attitude and bought a nice blue-green comforter way-way reduced (excellent price!)
4) I came home and the results were less than excellent, but still all right. And, at least I have something that is not clearly old, old, old.
Next:
1) Cleaning out the closet.
2) Doing something about the curtains to my closet, and perhaps the curtains on the window.
Also, now that I have the new comforter, the whole apartment looks sort of shabby. I have a LOT to do. Plus my mother-in-law is coming...
Do I get a prize for accomplishing one of the things on my list? Heh.
I got the little bookcase painted and on casters. Just have to wait for the paint to cure before I put stuff on it. And I'm going to wait till payday (this Friday) to buy drawer pulls for the sides (for moving the bookcase around easily, w/o toppling it), but I'm definitely going to do that. Not sure what style yet...
