This morning I got out the sewing machine before work and hemmed up my curtains. I still need to hang and rip them, but at least I got step one done.
I thought my closet was in good shape until I went spelunking for my staple gun. I didn't find it, but I did find a bunch of crap that I didn't need and decluttered a little... Some day, I need to go in and clear it all out. The clothes and linens are doing fine, but everything I rarely need is stuck in the upper half of my closet, and I need to throw out and reorganise a bunch of it...
Okay, I got a bunch of plants re-potted. Does that count?
I turned a bunch of separate succulents and a cactus into a nice one-pot garden (hey, that's de-cluttering, too), with red rocks on the surface, and with a tiny little statue (1.5 inches) of Laughing Buddha. (I found him at a dollar store. He's laughing because the jade is so big and bountiful.) Also, I managed to get two dracaenas, two snake plants, and three cacti all into nicer, co-ordinated pots, and I potted three scheffleras together to make one nice, bushy, family-in-a-pot. That all counts, right? Those dracaenas are HUGE and HEAVY!!
I am soooooo weak for houseplants. I know some people think houseplants are antithesis to "style," but I love my indoor garden. I have about 35 plants in all. I am WEAK! I need them...
I finally finished off my curtains earlier today... I'll update with a photo over the weekend. They really are soft and lovely....
who cares about this stuff???
