Hey folks!

So, I just signed a lease for a Park Slope apartment yesterday. YAY! 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a living room/kitchen combo. The only downside is the living room area is a bit small. SOOO... I came to apartment therapy in search of something I saw quite a while back, a dining table/island that was attached to the wall on one end and on suspension cables on the other so that it could fold up and out of the way. Pretty sure it was made out of wood. BUT... I've been searching for that post for hours with no luck.

HELP! Thanks.

Remember way back when, AT spotlighted an all-in-one mobile kitchenette that went for $4,000 ? Topdeq now has it as overstock for $983. Not that I'm tempted to buy it, just amazed...

Does anyone know where in New York City there would be a store that sells wallpaper/borders like this:

I am an artist, in need of some sort of "Western" border for an installation I'm making.

Thanks!

hi everyone- i'm trying to locate a Moroccan wedding blanket on the web and can't seem to find one. anyone have suggestions? i'm reluctant to go to the Chelsea market store because i'm sure it would be prohibitively expensive.
thanks.

Hi everyone,
I'm thinking of renovating my bathroom - currently I have no tub, only a shower - and am thinking about using tongue and groove cedar for the walls, including the walls in the tub enclosure / shower area - like a sauna, basically.

I'm wondering how the cedar would hold up over time if left unfinished, like in a regular sauna? I'm not sure if the planks would warp or get moldy with 2 showers being taken per day. Saunas are high-humidity areas but I don't think the walls are being hit with water all the time the way shower walls would be. I've searched the site and found lots of references to cedar benches and the like, but didn't find any for cedar shower stalls or tub enclosures.

I'm also wondering if there is another type of wood I should consider - I've heard of white aspen being used in saunas, which would be nice because of the lighter color since the bathroom is tiny (i'm going to be knocking down a wall to add a tub). Does anyone have any experience with wooden walls for tub enclosures or stories to share?

Thank you in advance!

sounds great, but yes, if it's in the direct line of water, you're going to get mold. They do have ceramic tiles that look like wood which may work.
