Has anyone else dealt with window treatments for a long expanse of floor-to-ceiling curtain wall (i.e., window panes)? I have a 25 ft. section that needs SOMETHING, probably a curtain/drape system, but I'm a bit at a loss for where to find the hardware/materials for something like this. Individual blinds are not an option since a) I don't like them, and b) I want something that does not obstruct the window panes when opened. Oh, and I am on a budget. Thanks!

SD913, if you are using IE on a PC, try right-mouse click and select "Open in New Window."

I think one of the major design flaws with the new AT home page is the links column on the left side of the page. Readers eyes naturally gravitate toward this area. With the redesign its now cluttered up with links and ads. Too bad.

does anyone know a good site or store in NY for buying furniture hardware? i bought some old dining chairs on craigslist and found that many of the L braces holding the legs to the seats are rusted through... the ones on there currently are rounded on the inside of the L (if that makes sense). Home Depot couldn't help me - anyone have any suggestions? thanks!

Another thing that's been fixed on the site is when you viewed a slide show starting from the "view all photos at once" and start clicking on them, the tall ones don't drop to the bottom and below the window in IE (at least on my screen--19"?), which would require scrolling down to view the image for every tall photo--very annoying and didn't used to happen. Fixed--thank you!

I love the links on the left and ads on the right. I never really read the links before but now there's interest on the left, which somehow really works for me.

I think the layout is fine. What I find a bit odd, though, is that I left a comment on one item--and though I can see it, the comment "reader" still says zero. I'm curious if it doesn't switch until there's 2 or some other magic number.
And I'm finding I'm a bit overwhelmed by the main page--though I am very happy I can now click onto other "pages" and not go into that yucky "back page" that used to be there when I had to catch up. Very nice.
Um, beneath the the email sign-up and the tiny top left ad, I see a block of valuable content... Top House Tours and Top Posts... not ads or random links.
Patrick (the other one), I have a question/proposition for you! If you see this, would you mind sending me an email at helloat - at - gmail - dotcom? Thanks in advance!

on the AT site, is there a way to open links in a new tab or browser? i hate being taken away from the site when i click a link.

You can always right click a link and either choose to "open in new window" or if you have tabbed browsing, "open in new tab."
works wonders :)
