Are there any flea markets in NY that sell furniture? The ones I know about are just for vintage knick-knacks, clothes, and other small items.
I keep wondering if the city has something like the Paris flea market and I just don't know about it.

Ohhh, speaking of "Do you know where..."... does anyone know of a place in New York (on online?) where one can order custom-made pillows? I have a picture/text that I would love on a throw pillow for my couch...

Hoping there are some Boston peeps around who can help out...
I'm on the verge of purchasing the Giselle sofa from Boston Interiors http://tinyurl.com/yultsm in the stock fabric (there's a custom fabric we like but they have no way of letting us see a picture of the sofa done up in that fabric and I'm not comfortable ordering it custom without being able to SEE it first). We actually LOVE the stock fabric (it's a microfiber) but are a little worried about it wearing poorly just by virtue of its light color.
Anyone have any experience with this sofa in this color or another sofa in a similar color microfiber? We aren't terribly sloppy people in terms of large stains or anything, I'm more concerned about general wear (like if I sit on it in my dark jeans too often is it going to start to show in a serious way) Any info/opinions would be helpful!!

There are tons of screenprinters on Etsy.com. I'm sure one of them would love to make custom pillows for you. CHeck out these shops for example:
Or just search in housewares, or search in New York. Good luck!

bluestar,
i find that microfiber wears extremely well and is easy to keep clean. you clean most spills with a sponge and a little bit of soap and water. i've even been able to get ballpoint pen out without a problem.

Thanks vertigo! We're almost certainly going to order it, I figure we'll just have to learn to be careful and aware that it's a light color without going over the edge to anal and devastated if it gets a little dirty from time to time!
