Both Dwell and Hable Construction bedding is sold on BlueFly. I got an email from them this morning and got sucked into the sale pages. Very limited selection but I remember someone was looking for Dwell stuff recently.
Ack - I commented in the last OT, #118, on Dallas... and I also wondered if there are any other Dallas AT'ers who might want to do a happy hour. I'm cross-referencing here so my question's not lost.
... but this comment thread must have been opened up while I was typing in the now-outre #118. (Note: we seem to have skipped OT #119)
Dallas people, comment here if you are hypothetically interested meeting up for a Happy Hour.
And about The Chairs: if you're interested in the Bertoia foundlings, send an email to me at younggreenanne - at - gmail - dot - com
Note: I don't have the Bertoias yet since the new chairs have not arrived at my company cafeteria;
I will update on a future OT once I have them, and email the folks who have emailed me privately as well.

There was some discussion last week about this wine rack and it fit my needs (almost) perfectly so I bought it and here's a quick write up for those interested.
I was drawn to this because of the my specific situation; tall and narrow. I also wanted something cheap and these are the cheapest wall hanging solution i could find.
So here's the good
--cheap but functional, just what you expect from Ikea.
--design is stable
--neutral color
--cheap for a vertical wine rack!
And here's the bad
--not uniform, so you can't mount them end to end. the openings also are not uniform (more below).
--mounting holes not perfectly aligned, so aligning them in a grid or horizontally is tricky, but doable.
--will not fit larger bottom bottles, i've noticed these are usually French, so champagne, French wine & cognac will not fit.
--if you remove and insert bottles often, you can scratch up the labels (might be important to some)
--not the cheapest option, especially if you have more space.
You might notice that I have a fatter French wine bottle in the top slot. But that is the only slot I could get it into, the openings are not uniform and it is a super tight fit. The label is scratched up from squeezing it in there.
I also inserted some other bottles to show what will fit. The belgian ale bottle is at the limit of what will fit, but IIRC a Chimay might not fit. The vodka bottle fits no problem. Normally I wouldn't store them like this but it's nice that I can in a pinch.
And here are some cheaper but less versatile solutions from Ikea
Overally I'm very happy with them, I might repaint them but the function is good. It solved my specific problem which was to take advantage of dead space in a corner.
Oh and i also looked at the new fabric while at Ikea, as well as that Chair everyone was talking about. The new fabric is interesting, not sure what to think, i need some time to stew on it.
The chair was much nicer in person, though i wish it were heavier--it felt unsubstantial, but what can i expect for $35. It would go well with the Saarinen style table Ikea has right now. My only concern is that they felt a little low.

Hey Minh
I'm the one who started the whole thing about the wall mounted wine racks - It was Kristian who suggested the Ikea ones.
I went to Ikea yesterday to pick some up as well - I bought three but I have not mounted them yet.
I'm surprised that you say that they don't fit end to end - maybe I don't understand what you mean. It seems that they can be mounted so that the bottom of one sits flush against the top of the one below it. But the way you have them mounted with space in between looks great as well.
I also bought some other odds and ends, including candles, candle holders, the dead mouse pillow for my kitty to snuggle on (she already discovered it and loves it), a soft throw (also for kitty to snuggle on), curtain rods, etc.
I will post pics when I get a chance.

Here are some pics of my kitty with her new ikea dead mouse pillow. I realize they are really blurry - I guess it's because it was pretty dark in the living room when I took them (still working on the lighting issues).
Forgive me for doing some quick market research. Back in November our resident blogger was kind enough to plug the Pier show including a mention of W. German pottery.
Nobody came up at the show and said, "Hey, I saw you mentioned on apartmenttherapy.com." That leads me to ask if anybody noticed the reference, and if anybody noticed my booth/pottery at the show (despite a few inaccuracies in the press release that month).
Thanks.
Forrest
PS. The Pier Show is coming up again this weekend, but it will be limited to Piers 90 and 92 with more focus on Americana. I won't be there, but I'm sure there will be other worthy and fun things to see, buy, and make fun of.

Thanks all for the kind words, I'm a little too shy to post more pictures! I must confess that I made sure the lighting was the most dramatic, the room is a little too boring otherwise--it's all about the lighting!
A.L. the spot lights on the posters are a low voltage cable halogen. I shopped around for a long time and in the end the ones from Ikea were the best value for $70 (and i was ready to pay 3-400 for a set).
NT, maybe the ones you got are better finished or maybe i'm just too OCD but end to end mine were not flush. They were not aligned along the radius so it looked too unfinished to me.
They also didn't look quite right because the part where they meet is so much larger then the other sections when it's end to end.

I hit IKEA this weekend too - seemed like the whole world (and their kids) was there! Picked up some lovely deep slate blue FELICIA drapes. May use them to replace the sheers that hide my bed in the corner. Also picked up a shiny cool MOSSBY shelf. I was determined to get the NORREBO bookcase but held off. It turns out IKEA has Home Furnishing Consultants that will help you put a room together. They have a tiny easy-to-miss office near the sofa displays at the Elizabeth store. Look for the wee square brochures that have color swatches on the front.
Since I live and work in a studio this could help me figure out how to make the most of this awkward space. Just need to take some measurements, draw out a floorplan and make an appointment. Hopefully this service includes the kitchen area as well. Right now I could make scrsmbled eggs from bed, the layout is so wacky.

I have missed the previous comments about Room Service/Sarah Richardson, but I am a big fan of the show also. I like it's unusual slow, mellow approach and I like how detail oriented the show is. The HGTV version of the show is new, but the Fine Living Channel also airs two shows a day, back to back, starting at noon. I DVR them daily.
I am also strangely addicted to the Designer Guys/Design Rivals show.

Lightweight but very luxe-looking; would look great in the context of a modern room. 2 colors were available: chocolate and an earthy mocha. Also, forgot to mention this on the other post when I was geeking out over the new Target merch: Reidel has a line of glasses and stemware for Target called Reidel Vivant. $39 for a set of four--so, I'd wait until these puppies go on sale...

I am also strangely addicted to the Designer Guys/Design Rivals show.
k1ate,
i THINK i know what u r talking about, but I don't know who makes it. If we are on the same wave link then it was also featured as a deal item in domino and urban outfitters is doing a knock off of it. is this similar to what you mean?

Yes, Kristian, it was srt of like that except a little more... slender? and more coffee table size-- thanks for the tip on Domino, I'll go thru my back issues and see if I can find it. I tried going thru the slinks listings but there are A LOT!
k1ate.
i'm pretty sure it was also in a MetHome or Dwell recently, i'll double check when i get home.
i found it., but there is no web link. it just says...
"Jacqui" $650 Lars Bolander NYC 212 924 1000
...that is pricy, i bet someone with a jigsaw could knock it off for you with some mdf and a can of rustoleum

Only just now looked at those pics of the mouse pillow and the ones with the kitty with it. VERY fun! Reminds me of the Mouse King scene in George Balanchine's The Nutcracker ballet.
Hey kristian. Saw the South African mohair throws from Target's Global Home line tonight. (You mentioned these on a previous thread, correct?) Really good.
Ack! Almost forgot... Re: Global Home line at Target. The Peruvian two-tone wool pillows look and feel like the same type of wool Jonathan Adler uses for his pillows. They don't have the graphic look of the JA pillows, but the construction and quality of wool is comparable. Great deal at $29!
Thanks Curtis! It always makes me happy when someone else appreciates my kitty cat.

As long as it's just in a picture, it can't make me itch or sneeze! In person? Fuhh-giddaboudit.
