Paint question: Want to paint my small basement bedroom a smokey grey with hints of blue and green. Am using BM colors elsewhere in the apt; Palladian Blue is too light and I think Knoxville Gray is too dark. Anyone have any experience with Raindance, Misted Green, or something similar?
Thanks!

Question for jamie pup and others knowledgeable in home AV... Any *inexpensive* suggestions for wireless speaker system options? I want to place small wireless speakers in my bedroom (and possibly bathroom). I currently have a single indoor/outdoor mono speaker in my patio, but find that it sometimes has reception problems. I've looked at the Homeplug-branded wireless speaker/transmitter systems currently on close-out at Radio Shack. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2104193&cp=&origkw=wireless+speaker+system&kw=wireless+speaker+system&parentPage=search But I'm not sure if this technology delivers as promised and the units are much bigger than what I need. Any thoughts on the technology or suggestions for smaller-sized options? Thank you!

Currently there is no such thing as a good wireless speaker system.

The closest you can get to it is wireless music distribution to a pair of speakers wired to some sort of amp (like Sonos, or a Squeezebox with an amp).

Enrique... You might be able to find something in a bluetooth speaker system. I know I've seen recievers that hook up to your computer or stereo and I've heard some good things about them.

The link in my name might be something worth looking into.

Cool, is that a new add on the site for Room & Board? I don't remember seeing it before.

By the way is it a full moon or something? The postings in various threads the last few days seem to be getting very feisty.

Matilda, Monika -

thanks for your good wishes for the unexpectedly early birth. Everything's going very well, and the baby's gaining weight nicely. And although I really want him home, I'm trying to appreciate the sleep!

Latex sealant: I have recently completed installing vinyl flooring on my deck. It has 3 seams that I sealed with latex (Dynaflex 230). The problem is that the seam following rain gets sticky and seems to collect dirt. It looks terrible and I would like to remove it but it is hard to lift off and too much scraping risks damge to the vinyl. Has anybody had experience in this area and is willing to offer advice?

Has anyone purchased anything from moderncollections.com or sleekspaces.com? I'm thinking about ordering some furniture from them, but don't know anything of the quality of their products or services.

That's terrible about the nursery thread getting featured on cruel.com. Personally, I consider that to be AT's low point. I still find much of the commentary to be very upsetting. It's a damn shame that for many, that particular link will be their introduction to AT.

Advice needed from fellow ATers on LR/BR paint color selection.

Both my LR/BR have a brick wall. I chose/applied below BM samplers and need some input before i make a final selection.

I'd also welcome other color schemes that go well with brick.

Click on my name to see them

top - Blue Spa
bottom right - Shelburne Buff
bottom left - Bennington Gray

thx!

Hanna,

I've ordered a couple of pieces from sleekspaces.com (some storage ottomans and the knock off Noguchi coffee table). The prices are great and I think the quality is pretty good. I hope that helps.

Pottery Barn catalog used "misted green" in the
room shown in the following link.

Or at the home page click on "shop by room"/"living rooms & media". Look at room 12.
