So I recklessly clicked on the AT Flickr page and am trying to decide if I'm fascinated or intimidated. Yowza, there are some great apartments out there!

Posted this on Good Questions but not sure if it will be answered. Anybody know where I can get this swing-arm lamp? I'm thinking of painting wall chocolate brown and doing bedding in the new Eileen Fisher line for Garnet Hill. See links. What do you think?

Speaking of O At Home (SaraB's post), why do we not invoke Oprah as well as, or instead of, or along side Martha? Not to diss Martha (or go ahead and let's diss Martha), but she gets rather a lot of electronic space on AT and I haven't seen anything similar for Oprah, who is a parallel, equally high-powered/creative female cultural icon who also expounds on home and interior design concerns. Besides, Oprah's themes and sensibilities seem user-friendlier and more accessible than a lot of Martha's stuff.

any idea where i can find a unique white credenza/buffet that can be used to store entertainment equipment? i am in love with jonathan adler's channing buffet...when i first saw it a week ago, it was $1500; when i went back this weekend, it was marked up to $1800. what's that all about?

anyway, i would love any suggestions for a solid white-ish piece..would love white lacquer of any kind...

check the link for a view of the channing buffet.

So many of us are Brooklynites, I have to ask...is anyone else interested in the racial subtext of the managing (and likely outcome) of the Yasskey vs. Owens race in today's Primary?

danae - I just got the catalog today and am wondering the same thing. I like the tufted headboard but $499? I wonder if the fabric is any good.

I got the red version of this headboard from Target and it is FABULOUS. It is ultrasuede. If you can get it with a coupon and when they're offering free shipping, it's a steal.

Bocar or Boocar (1980's) It is a soft side pop-up Caravan that left the wheels on land (trailer)It was made in Holland, I'm not so sure about the name. It was not a success, the law of that time forbid to take luggage in a boat that was on a trailer. So exit Boccar.

Happilyeverafter,

Nothing against Oprah--I respect her accomplishments--but her expertise does not lie in design. Martha has built a career based on that, and while she probably doesn't do a lot herself, she certainly did in the beginning.

Hiring editors and being friends with Nate Berkus does not a designer make. (Besides, I can't say I was impressed with O at Home, although I only looked at one issue--but that's just me.)
