for color inspiration check out the interiors from this fab site (as blogged by Maxwell in the time out design issue/salvage post)

Olga: Thanks! I so LOVE that place in Portland, Maine ... want to go there, NOW! (Right after your place, of course!)

I'm enjoying the fall colors contest but am extremely frustrated by the fact that the 'rules' don't even suggest that entrys divulge the color/brand/finish of their paint choices. I keep checking back with my faves to see what the colors are--but most of them haven't fessed up. Could the names of the colors be included in the finalists..Please!?!?

I think somewhere on this site (in the past month or so) I saw a picture I *loved* of a kitchen with a window over the sink, a wall to the right of the sink painted blue or green, and open shelving with white dishes on the wall. I didn't save the picture and now I can't remember it... arg. Anyone have any idea what I'm thinking of? Maybe an entry in the color contest?

okay, i was waiting for a new open thread, but i guess there might not be one today
yesterday i looked at an apt and, it has great bones, but two minor (or possibly major) problems
one, all the surfaces are painted in deep, dark, oxblood red or black
and two, theres a full wall of mirrors in the living room and a full CEILING of mirrors in the bathroom

so, does anyone have advice on what would be the best way to paint over all that dark, gothic nonsense and does anyone know if its easy to remove mirrors from walls/ceilings???
any advice would be hugely, and greatly, appreciated
i'm a total renovation novice!!
