Hey, so when can we expect to see AT: Boston? We're jonesing over here!

posted by anne on 2006-10-26 10:35:29

Last year it was orange.

This year, it is all shades of bright green, from chartreuse and lime to kelly green.

What will next year's "it" color be on AT?

Anyone care to venture a guess?

I just have a couple of comments on the format recently. I'm finding the site very difficult to "understand." For one thing, next time we have a contest I think it might be a good idea to limit the submissions posted to one per day. It's just too confusing when two, three, four entries are posted over the course of the day. The rest of the site gets lost. I'll be very glad when this color contest is over.

Secondly, what happened to the house tours? I feel like they aren't appearing as regularly as they used to. Those, and the 'all good questions' are some of my favorite parts of the site. I do like the new product features, but again the pattern of posting seems haphazard.

Some days there are 15 new features, and some days none. It's just my opinion, but the site seems very disorganized lately.

Of course...also waiting for that 9 month cure update! Hope all you three are doing well.

Mama Chilanga, next year's color will be pink, and there will be a lot of rhetoric about how it's not a girly color after all. One contest entry will have a title along the lines of "Clive's Manly Magenta Manor."

re:pink -- many mags/blogs are saying that the next big trend will be romantic and floral, instead of sleed and mcm. i bought a quite nice book called "rooms in bloom" that showcases this trend. click my name for some pink and floral tableware that need a cheap knockoff asap.

has anyone been down to the Knoll warehouse sale? anything good, or mostly office furniture?

I wanna know about the knoll sale too. Anyone know the hours? (I schlepped to the vitra sale--and by the time I got there the pickings were slim) Thanks

I must have missed some of the contest entries, cuz it all looks orange to me. I keep wondering if there was a sale on orange paint!

btw...next time AT holds one of these contests, perhaps including the paint brand/name as part of the profile would be helpful. It would elmimate about 1000 "That's a fabulous orange...what is your paint color!" questions.

I'm looking forward to the end of the color contest too. I don't dislike the contest, but there are just SO many entries that it's a bit overwhelming and I can't remember what my favorites are. It's nearing 200 entries.
Pink will be the new green, and Wende, we are definitely going to see "Clive's Manly Magenta Manor."

Well, at least pink is a little more flattering on the complexion... as is Vic's Virile Violet ...

Has anyone ever used rubber tiles for a home kitchen floor?
