I'd been off AT for a while and was delighted on my return to find you back. While you were out you missed the episode where I covered my true identity as DD and masqueraded as CC for day in order to raise the flag of free speech. But, as you observed a day or two ago, this is a minority opinion around here, and I had my ass handed to me on a platter by P2, j-pup and others. (To them I say, I am *not* raising that question again today. I was beaten, and I forgive you.)

You asked about Jonathan: The last posting I remember from him was one where he was offering to sleep with either the opo or me. It was a very catholic gesture.

Thank you, DD! Likewise I'm delighted to find you here and as always in such good form. I do regret having missed your guerilla raid on the side of truth & justice. But I would not sleep too soundly p2 et al! Tomorrow is another day.

Henrietta: Some rainy day when you have nothing better to do, check out OT 247. That was the day I donned my "Concerned Citizen" mask and cape, wore my underwear outside my pants, and went to battle. As an unexpected side-effect, the thread flushed Jonathan out of one of his banishments.

I put my glasses back on in OT 250. Curiously, your name came up as a consequence. I made a comment that there were certain posters that I missed, and j-pup identified you as one. He, however, immediately canceled that perceptive observation by identifying Andree as a possible other.

And you aren't even a careful reader. Jonathon has posted since then.

I confess the image of you as a First Amendment Superhero made me blush. Naturally I look forward to the mayhem (and of course, consequent reconstitution of the social order) your laser powers hurled upon this city of the frill. I may just hunker down this evening with a few cokctails and enjoy the show.

As for being compared with Andree, I'll take the charitable view and concede that we are both psychotics in our various ways. Thanks a lot jamie pup!!

Perhaps this has already been posted, but I noticed that two of the entrants in Apartment Therapy's last Smallest, Coolest Apartment contest are in the current issue of Oprah's Home magazine (with the cover story about organization) — one was Jane and Darko's place with the bear artwork above the bed and the birch-patterned wallpaper, and the other was the one with the cool wood room divider with built-in bench (I forget the homeowners' names).

Thank you for pointing me to that thread. It was a hoot! I always appreciate the grim determination to soldier on about FLOR tiles and whatnot during these debates. And of course you're right. When you're right, you're right, and you're right.

Am I to understand that a cabal prevailed on Maxwell to ban Jonathan from the site? If that's true, it's a goddamned shame. Congratulations, Jonathan, wherever you are, on your new spawn! She is in for a lifetime of laughs under that splendid chandelier.
