thoughts on Top Design last night anyone? Todd Oldham was killing me... esp. w. that make up.

I missed it and didn't tape it.
Anyone have any idea how I can see it today?
Guess it's time to invest in tivio
Bravo airs repeats all the time. You'll probably be able to catch it before next week's episode if not earlier. I missed it too.
The show seems to be much more about shock value and drama than design :(
I was not impressed.
About 2 weeks ago there was a post, (I can't find it in the series that lets you see people's art or the house tour series)where this woman showed her house, and everyone poured in comments about how lovely it was. I feel like it was in California. She had many rooms, a lot of color, especially coral and lovely pillows. Does anyone remember this post. I would like to view an idea there and I can't find it?
Re:Top Design
I kinda liked it, It showed potential. Tho with a carpenter, a $50,000 budget and showcases to pick from I was hoping the designs would have more of a WOW factor. They were just kinda average.
I think most of the home tours on this site are better than the rooms designed last night.
But I hope it gets better!
I agree, with $50k those rooms should have been amazing.
More importantly, when will the nursery part of AT begin? I need inspiration!!
I Tivo'd Top Design last night (while wallowing in my tears of sadness over the outcome of Top Chef) so I will watch it tonight. Thank you everyone for not posting spoilers! :)

HI Michelle could it have been Victoria's art- I loved it. She is from San Francisco but it was featured on NY??? Not a ton of color though

When is a reality tv show *not* about shock value and drama?
To PC: the premiere of Top Design is a free download from iTunes. I watched it because it was free, but *hated* it because the level of "design" was so low. I'm just not interested in watching designers arrange what the show characterized as "high-end items" from the Pacific Design Center within rooms which were no more than storage containers. I was disappointed that the focus was $50,000 for "memo-ing out" items from the PDC and only $1250 for paint and materials which could, you know, actually engage the space. Add in that I don't like Todd or the judges and you have what I thought was an impossibility: a design show which I hate.
The tours of this site's readers homes are much more instructive than this show.
