Good morning, AT. Has anybody ever purchased furniture from Advanced Interior Designs? My sister found a sofa on their website that she really likes. The prices are so low it seems suspicious. Also, the shipping is free. Is that weird?

Hi Guys--I hope you can help me--I posted this last week and no one responded--thought I would try one more time.
Does anyone watch Grey's Anantomy? I am looking to find out who makes the paintings on the walls of the hopsital--they look native american/symbolic? Anyone? I couldnt post a screen shot, but they are in almost every scene in the hospital--including the chief's office. No one on the Grey's boards could help.
Thanks!!!!

GMCULP- All the furniture on that site are knock-offs. I hear that similar places are hit or miss. Some stuff is quality, while other stuff is just poorly copied so beware when purchasing that you compare the pictures on their site to the pictures of the real thing!

Thanks, SALTOCEAN! I was wondering what was going on with those prices. Even though the sofa on the website is much cheaper than the original, it's not worth it if it turns out to be a piece of junk.

I watch Grey's Anatomy and to tell you the truth, I never noticed the artwork on the walls.

If you think it's native american/symbolic then I'd start with a google search of that genre of art. Maybe get in touch with a gallery that you find listed in your search and figure out a way to show them at least one snapshot of the art you're talking about. I know it sounds like a lot of work but if you're really that interested and the show itself can't help you, this is one way to go.

Re: Grey's Anatomy -- I'd check the fan sites. Generally speaking there's no topic too trivial about which there has been a thread in fan sites. The station or production company might be able to help as well. Any (or all) would be able to answer p(2)'s question.

Ok, I'm going to preface this question with a request for kindness in your responses...if you've never used a bidet or Toto washlet before, how do you not screw up and make a total fool of yourself the first time you finally use one (and make sure you get properly clean)?

I recognize them, I can figure out the instructions of the different options, and it seems pretty simple, but fear of not knowing how to properly position myself, especially when you can't actually sit down on a bidet-type, well, frankly is embarrassing and paralyzing at the same time.

Normally, I'm a figure-it-out as you go kind of girl, and I probably could if I had to, but I've never had to as of yet, so tips and stories about your first attempts (esp. humorous ones!) would be much appreciated!

I believe the Grey's Anatomy artwork is Eskimo (or Inuit) art. Try Googling that and see if you can find similar works (or contact a gallery from that region (Alaska, NW Canada that deals with Iniut art & maybe they can ID the artist).

taracakes,

I can't help if you want the exact works of art in the show, but maybe contact one of these galleries?:
http://www.coastalpeoples.com/ and http://www.blacktusk.ca/.
Roy Vickers is also an artist to look into.

Since one of the prints is a killer whale, I think you should probably concentrate on artists from Coastal Pacific Northwest First Nations.

For googling, you might want to try using "first nations" rather than "native american" in case the artist is Canadian.

Hi everyone-- I'm trying to pull together a big framed bulletin board (like the one in the condo in the movie The Break Up.) It will essentially take up the space on a whole large wall -- at least 3' x 4'. So I need to find a giant, furniture quality frame and better-than-average cork board. Any ideas?
