If it matters to anyone, I've decided on a row of masks to go above the flying mantle. Hope to get to that this weekend.

Meanwhile, realized I didn't post the chairs I got to replace the white ones that didn't seem to work. Voila.

Also, for those interested in textile collections, a shot of another one of my kimono.

I bought the sater sofa from Ikea (you can only see it on p.43 in the online catalog) and it looks great, except I want to swap the steel legs for wooden ones. Any good places to find those?

I'm thinking tapered legs.

thanks.

JonathanB -- The new chairs look so right that I didn't at first realize they hadn't always been there.

Tomorrow we might -- maybe! -- get a look at our new place in person. (We chose it from a floor plan, a model of a different unit, and the testimony of a resident who'd chosen our plan and who seemed very AT.) I'm thinking dark paint with a hammered copper glaze for the back wall of the loft section, but this depends on how they did the railing.

I remember a house tour photo that showed an apartment with two computer desks pushed together (facing one another). Does anyone remember that picture?

D.C. people, or anyone else . . .
ever been to the Restoration Hardware warehouse?

I'm interested in one of last year's models, and wonder what the warehouse sale is like . . .
THX!

Guido:

I found the RH sale to be just okay when I went last year--it was basically a sample sale but a lot of the items were not in the greatest shape. That said, there may very well be a good deal there. If you have something in mind, you might give a call the day you intend to go and ask if it's there. They may not answer you but worth a try!

Question for the crowd: can anyone ID, or come up with a good Behr or Ben Moore match, to the color in the following Nate Berkus portfolio picture:

Thanks in advance!

Hello,
Does anyone know anything about a mid-century furniture maker named Fouders? Maker's stamp reads "Modern by Founders". Trying to find info about a "Genuine Mahogany" slatted bench with drawer.
Thanks!
