Paint help, please.
I'm looking for the exact shade of turquoise that's on the Grand Central main hall ceiling. Any suggestions?

Well, the color on that ceiling was recently cleaned, so it would be hard to say exactly what color it really is, but it looks kind of like Benjamin Moore's Waterbury Green HC-136.

I have a stainless steel sink that really needs to be replaced, but for various reasons, it is not going to happen... I am getting new cabinets and bought a new faucet set that will help my kitchen out a lot.
So my question is -- can anyone recommend a product, refinisher, method etc. on "refreshing" my sink. I would like to get some of the fine line scratches out and really make it look its best.
Many thanks!

Thank you, Curtis--I'll look for that one. I have fiddled with so many different paint chips. When you see a strange woman standing in the middle of Grand Central, looking up and holding up various little paint chips, that will be me.

This is awesome! Has anyone seen anything like this at a .. ahem.. "purchaseable" price? (Doesn't have to be antiqued refurbished)

I am moving to a new aparment and I would like to incorporate some of the amazing ideas that I have seen on this site. But, as is typical, I can't remember a few.
After searching the site for a while, I'm asking the loyal readership for help.
1) There was a chrome wall-mounted towel rack that was curved (kind of like a basket) and mounted above the door to the bathroom. Does anyone remember who made that towel rack?
2) In one of the house tours, there is a bedroom with large dark wicker/teak baskets under the bed. Can someone help me to locate those baskets?
I'm hoping some of you can help, and I promise to start writing these things down.
Thanks.

Does anyone know how complicated and expensive a job it is to reglaze an old (I think from the 1920s) bathtub and sink? And does anyone have a recommendation for someone who can do this work in Manhattan? Thanks.

I've been advised to visit you all at AT:NY with a conundrum. I'm not sure what length to order for a kitchen sink pendant. I've created a tennis ball mock up of a proposed kitchen sink pendant here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/98704941@N00/1479043499/in/set-72157601955717111
We have deduced that it should be high enough so that people aren't staring directly at a bulb while at the sink but long enough so that it still resembles a pendant. The hardware and shade of the model that we are looking at consumes 11" of height which would leave 13" of pendant 'cord' if we followed this mock up. The overall length would be custom ordered from Rejuvenation. Here is the pendant we are considering: http://www.rejuvenation.com/fixshowC162/templates/selection.phtml
What do you think?

blackdaisy -- I've certainly familiar with steampunk as a literary genre for books and comics, but as a style for interior design is certainly new, at least to me. It does give one pause.

JonathanB ... had I the money, I would lean towards a "steampunk" look for my home, at least in subtle ways. In any case, I love the look of that black victorian tea set and would love to find one for myself.

wig3000...I would raise the pendant a little, maybe 6". It would still hang down and look like a pendant. If I was doing it, I'd do 2 pendants, one on either side of the sink. Can't tell if that would interfere with the cabinets though. Good luck!
