Okay, so a "slink" links to something, but what does the name mean? Is it used anywhere other than AT?

slink |sli ng k| verb ( past slunk |sl? ng k|) [ intrans. ] move smoothly and quietly with gliding steps, in a stealthy or sensuous manner : the fox came slinking through the woods. come or go unobtrusively or furtively : all his so-called friends have slunk off. noun [in sing. ] an act of moving in this way : she moved with a sensuous slink. ORIGIN Old English slincan [crawl, creep] ; compare with Middle Dutch and Middle Low German slinken subside, sink.

URGENT!!! Okay not to interupt this fascinating etymological discussion on slinks but a friend of mine is having a huge dilemna. She bought a couch that can not fit into her elevator (10th floor), she loves this particular couch and the price is great. The furniture company suggested Dr. Sofa, which is a company that disassembles and reassembles sofas. Has anyone used these guys? Are they good or is her beautiful couch going to go from Frank Lloyd Wright to Frank Lloyd Wrong?
Thanks in advance for any help!

AKR - She is afraid that it will get all banged up in the process.
Patrick (too) - I tried the search engine hear and did not find it. Do you remember if it was a positive article?
Thanks!

opinions please....
I just bought this rug from cb2.com, and I'm not sure if I like it or not. I guess maybe I need to get used to it, but wanted to know what your opinions were...anybody else purchase this rug?
My apartment is sort of retro modern with some wood furniture in it for warmth.
I also like the rug. Though not my personal taste, I think it's quite well done and creative. The composition is good.
BUT...if you are doubting your purchase, listen to your gut. I've bought some things that were perfectly nice but not perfect for me. This sort of thing leads to further expenses in the future, or else compromising and living with something you're not crazy about.
Again, listen to your gut. Sleep on it. If you think you still aren't sure, you're probably not completely in love with it and are just trying to rationalize your purchase. If that's the case, take it back and wait until you find something you DO like. IMHO.

adam-I like the rug. I guess it depends on how it fits in with the rest of your place.
