It hangs from a chain with a ribbon and I want to find something decorative to hang it from, not just a picture hook. I'm thinking a glass knob, but I don't know how I would attach it to the wall. Does anyone know where to buy decorative picture hangers? I'm sure I've seen them, but I can't remember where.

OK, so I found my ottoman bench solution. I am going to buy a Parsons or Portico base from R&B. Now I just have to find an upholsterer to make my top. Does anyone know a source?
Sarah1083, have you considered using a bathroom robe hook to hang the mirror? Ikea sells a variety of nifty robe hooks for around $5 or less. I installed one to hang my loofah in the shower room.

Sarah1083 - I would venture to guess that if you call Restoration Hardware (or stop in) they would know how to do that.
Otherwise, give a call/stop in at a hardware store or antiques shop where you're likely to find what you're looking for and ask them. They'll be able to create the right type of thing, depending on what knob you choose.

Looking for a clone of the pocket desk (DWR).
I really like the lines on it, but $1800 is way above my budget right now. Does anyone know where I might find such a beast?

Here's a place if you want something fancy. I've never used them, but I've browzed a bit:

Sarah1083--I'm seeing a coloured glass small cabinet knob for that mirror. Just put a wll anchor into your wall and then screw the knob into the wall.
Lots of gorgeous options here, anthroplogie knobs
the challenge may be to find one small enough.
(I'm thinking of going "old button" shopping, myself, to solve a similiar problem.)
