The slideshow of the flat in Italy -- http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/ny/at-europe/at-europe-florence-valeria-albertos-highceilinged-twobedroom-036982 -- has a very attractive lamp over the desk. A couple of us asked about it.

So I was thinking: People sent in some very helpful thoughts on what to do about lighting in my long living/etc. room which has an overhead light at one end. I've been wondering if two or three matching outsized swing lamps (such as the one in the flat in Italy) down the length of the room might be a solution, or if it would look like a commercial space. Here's one I can't afford, particularly in multiples: http://hivemodern.com/products/?view=sub_product&sid=375&cid=5&cid2=31

What do people think?

We made our pilgrimage to the CB2 store last weekend.... We fell in love with the display christmas trees in the store (not a CB2 product). If any of you noticed them, they're tall narrow white trees with touches of silver tinsel built in. I'm presuming CB2 placed them in the tall / narrow brushed stainless 'planters'...

Any one have a clue where the store decorator bought them? (the clerks couldn't find out that info)

TIA....

If anyone is currently looking for a 1-bedroom apt in brooklyn, our next door neighbors are moving out today! I could hook you up with the broker's office name/number :) We loove our apartment and loved our quiet neighbors! (read: we are hoping for more QUIET neighbors :) ) We are at the Prospect park stop on the Q - about a 30 min commute to midtown for me every morning. The neigborhood is Prospect-Lefferts Garden and our building is easily the nicest property there. Two blocks to prospect park and two groccery stores within walking distance!

Let me know :)
