Today is an autumnal 'spring cleaning' day for me. I am gathering a large amount of supplies to donate to my local place of worship: office supplies, cleaning supplies, tupperware, cutlery, etc. These are things I've been hanging onto for future "just in case"s and "will need in the future"s. But all this 'stuff' has been dogging me and my home for years. Such is the power of stuff. I don't own it, it owns me. But not for long! Yippee!

Sorry about the "Glass?" choice, folks. I had originally done a survey in which you voted on glass half full or half empty or simply, Glass?, but I can't seem to get rid of that choice now....

In the words of my friend Scott, "Half empty, half full, whatever...the real question is, why isn't what's *in* the glass some bourbon?"

The world is falling apart. What's new? politics, stock market and my company is letting people go.

And later I will eat my favorite chocolate cupcake so I'm feeling optimistic!

Some of us spend a lot of time creating, turning our visions into reality - we have that privilege. Others are blessed to be clear headed enough to dream in constrained circumstance. Hopefully all of us are thinking about Earth and each other; we are here to care for both.

Do the right thing. Do everything in your power to end war, poverty, homelessness and hunger.
VOTE! Vote wisely and we will all be well.

I am optimistic.

I feel optimistic about having a good candidate for the presidential seat and pessimistic about the wisdom of the American people to elect him.

I am VERY far from wealthy but I am very happy and optimistic about the current state of our country. History proves there are always ups and downs in the economy....and everything for that matter!.... no big surprise!

I have to say I've never seen our country in such a mess. People are losing their homes, their jobs, their retirement funds. It's just crazy. We have been heading downhill steadily for the past 18 months, and many people have just put their heads in the sand.
I am, however, optimistic for the first time in a long time about what a new face in the White House will do for us/US. We've lost our stature in the world, and it's time to reclaim it.

DON'T FORGET TO REGISTER TO VOTE!!! PLEASE VOTE!!!!!
