My grandmother had something like this in her 1940's kitchen...

...and I use the IKEA thingie in my bathroom as a Magazine Rack/TP holder.

DWR seems to be swinging in the direction of useful, everyday items with their new accessories line. I like how things have a good story behind them that kind of justifies the pricepoint. Altho, surprisingly a lot of the new stuff seems fairly reasonable.
