So emphasis on concept. It's just an art project. Not an actual web app yet.

I used Google Sketchup to figure how best to arrange my Ikea boxes in the back of my car.

Too bad you have to pay extra if you're bringing big items on the water taxi...for anyone making big purchases, go to Elizabeth! At least you can still stash the big items in the bus stowage for free!

Kramma is a good concept, I'd love to see it materialize (to further avoid me having to ride 40 mph on the LIE from Hicksville to Manhattan with my headboard frame gingerly tied on the roof of my little Lancer...would have been good to know the headboard packaging would be too wide and deep for my backseat!)

I don't need no stinkin' software! I am a champion stacker of stuff -- too good, sometimes. I can't even remember all the IKEA parts we crammed into the back of my Integra, but it was amazing -- and it does take planning to make the best use of the available space, so the software would probably be useful for many.

While intriguing, I have yet to make a trip to IKEA where I bought ONLY what I went there for.

This is hilarious! Reminds me of many an Ikea trip - standing looking back and forth between the car trunk and the stack of brown boxes, wondering how to make it all fit!

Ikea should buy the rights to this idea, then install it into little computer terminals in front of the check-outs. You know, like a "know before you buy if it'll fit into your car" service.
