Sleek Entry. Designer Matthew Glaysher sent us these images of his polished aluminum wall-mounted coat rack Wall Spine. Lightweight and strong, the rack measures aproximately H 12"x W 24" x D 4" and is available directly from the designer for $200...

This is really nice but $200!? Did he work for a pharmaceutical company while he was in design school to learn pricing?

I don't know. It sort of looks like jaws. Sleek, shiny jaws to be sure. But still.

I see Alana's point, but I rather it, and perhaps because I live in New York, I don't find $200 all that outrageous for a coat hook.

It's also a unique looking coat hook. You don't see stuff like this a lot, which is why people pay $200 for one.
I paid about $100 for mine (which I don't use anymore) because it was an antique.

$200 isn't that crazy for good design... and it is a great-looking coat rack. But there are other striking ones on the market for a lot less. I know Blu Dot makes a pretty cool looking wall-mounted one for $89.

Am I missing something? You really only have 4 usable hooks here, right, since the top ones are bent downward. It is a neat design, I just wish you could 'use' more of it.
