Home improvements have been moving along slowly, but we get something new done about every two weeks or so. Last weekend it was putting in a new wine rack that we originally spotted in a restaurant on Lafayette street and which Sara Kate then found online....
Called Vintage View Racks, these are a British creation and one we really liked for our new home. The racks can be expanded to hold as many bottles as you want, and they save you tons of space, by not having the bottles stick off of the wall.
Here's our slideshow of our quick installation....

Are the bottles held in place very securely? I feel like I'd inevitably bump into the neck of the bottle, sending it sliding out the other side due to the heavier base.

Where did you get that little level that magically sticks to the wall? I could really use that...

can we see a layout of your apartment?

I am guessing that the level is magnetic and actually sticking to the metal wine rack and not the wall....but yes I like this...and I love the giant clock!

The wine rack is great! It's so nice to find a use for an otherwise empty wall.
And don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan, but I'm curious about the practicality of this with a child? As the mother of a toddler, I would assume you can't put anything on the bottom 8-10 racks. And then I'd always be worried about the little one poking her eye out while running around...just a thought.

I love this slideshow! I liked when the clock was up at the same level as the table. I wonder if thats good fung shui? Screw it! It looked great. I am not on the look-out for an oversized clock.

Why is the clock hung so low on the wall?
