We have the ikea doormat pictured above. Although it is nice to look at it is not a very good doormat if your door is exposed to the rain. It soaks up water like a sponge and doesn't release it. Every rain (light or hard) we end up having to drape it over a chair outside and let the water drip (or should I say pour) out of it before we can put it back down.

For me, a doormat's gotta be small enough to tuck into the space I have in front of a door at the end of a hall that is perpendicular to my neighbor's space. Dimensions on these would have helped!

What I want to know is whether any of them will still look good after a few weeks of use. I'm so tired of doormats that look great for the first few weeks, and need replacing after three months.

Ever consider using a single FLOR tile as a doormat?

Living in Florida, I need doormats that don't soak in any water at all. It's hard to find a super pretty one that works well.
