Canasta Furniture Collection from Patricia Urquiola

It's always wonderful to see something completely new and inspiring. Prolific designer Patricia Urquiola has wowed us many times before with her Brgere & Lgre Seating, Sliding & Strip Rugs, Shift Shelving and Flo Stool for Driade (just to name a few favorites!) and now her new Canasta collection for B&B Italia has married the traditional with the contemporary and has us drooling with excitement...

Urquiola's embraced the traditional caning pattern Vienna Straw and blown up the scale dramatically. The furniture is meant for outdoor use and the woven strips of polyethylene make it strong, lightweight and weather resistant. This collection is massive and we've only shown you a small portion. Are we crazy to think that an end table or high-back Canasta chair could be stunning inside an apartment? Or is it just too "outdoors?"
