Imagine setting one of these up for an intimate little dinner (20" dia.) on the fire escape, with the cord snaked out the window.
I would hope it can handle the weight of a person, because it looks like an inviting seat, and would certainly look that way to someone at a party...

Not sure if this is would be a problem on an NYC terrace, but in the suburbs, this would be a bug magnet at night.

I agree with SPHH.
It's nice, but...If you don't put lounge chairs next to it, it'll look like a welcoming stool.
