apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Close-Up: A Country-Style City Terrace Garden
Paris, France

rfgarden1.jpgFrançois and Raphaëlle spent a year and a half looking for an apartment with a private terrace, finally finding this gem in an 1850s building near République.

They've added vines and an arbor to frame the door leading to the terrace, creating a country-style getaway smack in the middle of Paris. In cold weather, it's a nice place to get a breath of fresh air or sip a cup of tea with your scarf on; when it gets warm, they set up a marble bistro table and use the terrace as a dining room. And it's a great place for their two young children to play.

I love those doors! Where does one in LA find those style of "French doors"?
