As we wrote the previous post, we realized that our inspiration for bulding our own hot tub had originally come from two sources. One, a friend who is a Danish engineer, actually dug a pit one night on the beach and pumped water out of the ocean through a fire and into the plastic lined "tub" using his car battery to power the small pump.
The second is this remarkable invention, The Dutchtub, by the Danish Dutch designer, Floris Schoonderbeek (Go Denmark. Go Denmark.). Manufactured and widely used in the Netherlands, the Dutchtub is a super easy way to give yourself a hot tub year round in almost any location (for 4500 Euro). Contact fs@dutchtub.nl.

I have more detailed hi-res pics of the Dutchtub in action, taken at 100% Design Rotterdam, if you're interested. Is Floris really Danish?? I was pretty sure he is Dutch.
How much are these things?
And seriously, that's not a very Danish looking name.
Can you get a dutchtub in the united states? if not, what does it cost to ship? I live in Philadelpia.
