This London home by Pitman Tozer Architects was designed for architect Luke Tozer and his family. At the front, the house is only eight feet wide. Even so, the home manages to feel open and airy. It's especially open at the rear of the house, where the width grows a bit and an entire wall opens up to the back garden space...
The home is green not just because of its minimal footprint: it is designed with passive solar design, a highly insulated building envelope, ground source heat pump, and rainwater harvesting for flushing toilets and watering the landscaping.

It's a pretty looking place, but the pictures shown here make it look a lot bigger -- probably because it's not of the interior, but more so of the back patio. And it looks like the back areas of the home are 2-3x's the width. Misleading!

Given the amount of work that went into creating this, it should have been an addition to one of the two adjacent homes.

It appears that this was once a driveway or alley to the gardens in the rear - the only way this could possibly have been built this was to purchase the adjacent house and take over it's side yard and gardens for this place.

Watching the video on the site is really interesting. It also shows clearly how the house works. It was much more impressive than the above pics.
