June is Garden Month!

So, we've passed the first day of summer and we are now moving into the thick of it. That means that NOW MORE THAN EVER it's time to get out your green thumb and build your own garden, flowerbox, flowerpot or whatever and add some LIFE to your home. The pic above we snapped this morning from our bedroom window, and the pics below are of our own little fire escape garden...

This is a really nice simple galvanized windowbox that fits snugly outside their window and creates a lovely view from the inside.

Our fire escape has a growing garden (all created by Sara Kate) in which she is trying herbs, tomatoes, a climbing flowering vine and even strawberries! We've let the birdfeeder run out for the time being as it gets awful messy when the birds congregate in large numbers.
