My Great Outdoors: Anna's Shady Escape

Tell us about your outdoor project and how you enjoy it: When we saw this little balcony, it was love at first sight as it is the natural extension of the dining and sitting room. It is the perfect place to relax after a long day in these hot summer evenings. We love to have dinner out there, or just a cup of tea in the afternoon...

How did you create it? Not much work — we kept the sun blinds from the previous owner, looked at IKEA for the smallest table and chairs. It is very tiny and the shelf turned out to be very useful. We could place some plants and still have enough room to move around.

Recommended store, site, product or resource? IKEA for table, chairs, shelf and vases. Local garden center for plants.

I've seen this cute little table and chairs set all over, but it doesn't pop up on Ikea's website. Perhaps they don't sell it in San Diego. Is it discontinued? Does anyone know? Other inexpensive options?

Just a few notes:
The chair cuschions are hand made and the fabric is made in US.
We bought the Ikea table and chairs two years ago but they are still available, at least here in Italy.
Yes, we are very close to Venice, 20 minutes by train,
