Spool Stool by Bottega Montana

The cylindrical hole and three grooves in the base allows the wood to breathe and also provides drainage so you'll never sit in a puddle. The grooved base also helps with stability on uneven surfaces...

The stool is available in either red Cedar from Idaho or Port Orford cedar from Oregon. There are six stains available (or you can leave it natural). A spool stool is $475 from Bottega Montana. Via: The New York Times.
