Fay Rosen: House Painter

917.273.7707

7-25-fayrosen.jpgLooking to paint your apartment? We recently got a recommendation for Fay Rosen, and she seems perfect for those that have small scale work and don't want to pay luxury prices.

A rare breed in NYC, Fay is a one woman team who has been painting homes for 28 years. She hits the details, is neat and has "a million" references. She will give you a free estimate and bases her prices on a day rate of @ $300.

What doesn't Fay do? No faux finishes, she says, and no sheet rock work. Leave that to others, but if you want painting and plastering, Fay is your woman. (Thanks Jim!)

it's really not that bad if you break it down per hour
($300/8 = $37.5)

does plastering include skim coating or just fixing cracks?

wwoolsey, changing the units of a measurement does not change its real value!

Riiiight, try painting for 8 hours and tell me how much you think it's worth.

At a $300/day rate and a regular 40 hour work week, we are talking $78k before taxes. Not big bucks by NY standards in the least.

$300 for a clean, precise, experienced painter...a bargain...
believe it or not.
