Three Fingers Painting

Brooklyn, NY
646.512.3510

t12-1.jpgWe don't know why they call themselves "Three Fingers," but we do know that this trio of female painters comes highly recommended as "professionals" at a "good price."

Based in Brooklyn, they take jobs all over the city and happen to have a number of openings right now, so give them a call if you want to paint your walls periwinkle before New Year's. They can also be reached at 3fingerspainting@nyc.rr.com. (Thanks, Daniel!)

The most professional job I've seen. Very efficient. Very courteous. Very high quality.

I look forward to using them again.

Dear Raechel & Sope,
You already know how very pleased we were with the work you did for us in our apartment. So please use this note to spread the word to others who may be wise enough to engage your services.
Yours was without question the most professional and satisfying experience we have had in painting the various apartments we have called home in New York. Meticulous, attention to detail, extreme care, punctual, and delightful to work with -- are only a few of the terms I would use to describe 3fingerspainting.
We don't plan to move again soon, but if we do you'll hear from us.
All our best,

They did a great job. On time and efficient. They were a pleasure to work with and gave good paint advice (I had no idea what I was doing). They also were well priced. I would defintely use them again.

we had our ceiling completely botched by a totally clueless contractor installing soundproofing. 3 fingers came to the rescue - they were meticulous, fast, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. from now on, we'll skip the contractor and go straight to 3 fingers - professionals who really know what they're doing.

These girls are OUTSTANDING!

After having them complete my own home, it is without hesitation that I happily recommend 3 Fingers Painting. Courteous, straightforward, punctual & fair; I searched long and hard before finding the right kind of company I could pass on to clients in good conscious. Its hard enough when you're remodeling your home, and it was so helpful to have someone there who knew exactly what needed to be done. They also had the courage where required to step up and say, “that's not in our field, but we have someone else who can help”. I only wish my contractor took a lesson from 3 Fingers Painting!!

We found Raechel and Sope through the AT website, and we were not disappointed. These women did outstanding work throughout our entire apartment, and they were always pleasant and professional. They delivered on all promises, including timing and quality. We look forward to working with them again.

Wow! Before we met Rachel & Sope our 90 year old walls had cracks/sags/tears all over. After they were done, we feel like we live in a new apartment. We cannot thank them enough for exceeding all our expectations and making our place home. Rachel and Sope worked extremely hard (stayed till 3am one night) and were highly responsible. We recommend 3 fingers without any hesitation.

These ladies are terrific! Raechel and Sope did a fantastic job removing some tricky wallpaper before they could start the painting. Our walls look beautiful. They also had to contend with some very humid weather, but they finished on time with a smile. We highly recommend them and hope to use them again in the future.

3 Fingers Painting was recommended to us by our plasterer after we had a bad experience with our first painters. We needed a lot of rooms painted quickly and 3 Fingers got the job done. They were friendly, quick, and left the house cleaner than they found it. Our house has a lot of old detail work and 107-year-old paster walls. They did a great job with it all and I'm sure it hasn't looked this good since it was first built. And their price was reasonable too. We'd definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Raechel and Sope are terrific! I love the way my apartment looks. They are completely professional and responsible - there when they said they'd be, and completed the job beautifully when they said they would. All this and at a fair price. I have recommended them to all of my friends.

I just recently purchased a co-op. The walls need to be painted and the trim is clumpy and need to be taken out and preferably a new one put in. Is this something that the 3 fingers can do?

We do not replace or install trim, we only provide wall repairs and painting of all kinds.
However, we do confidently and whole heartedly recommend, our go to guys, Ron & Rudy of Quality Control, for kitchen & bathroom renovations, molding installations and all general contracting needs.

They are just good people in general and do a fantastic/extremely affordable job! I'd reccomend them to anyone!

Sorry to have to be the dissenter, but my experience with this operation was not great. Two weeks ago, after having had a very pleasant conversation with Raechel, she told me to put together an email describing the job in detail so that she could give me an estimate. I did so, and I also sent her the floorplan which I thought would be helpful.

After not getting a response for three days, I left a message on her voicemail. So, here we are two weeks later, and I've yet to get the courtesy of a response. There you have it. That's my experience with 3 Fingers Painting.

The first time Daniel contacted me was on April 18th. He was looking to have his paint job after he closed on the apartment June 1st. Since there would be limited access until ownership was transferred, I asked him to email me a detailed description and a floorplan in order to put together a rough estimate.
I didn't receive an email from Daniel until about a month later on May 15th, followed by a phone call three days later. Seems that when I had more time to accommodate his request, Daniel didn't have time to send me an email for over 3 weeks.
As the months get warmer, we get busier. With several big deadlines during the last two weeks, I hadn't had time to put together a rough number and so hadn't returned his call. I know that some people need more re-assurance and attention and while we do, on a rare occassion, lose an email or phone call in the shuffle, we do our very best to cater to the needs of clients and potential clients alike.
Now that I see Daniel's comment about his limited experience with me, I'm quite content to have left him alone with his impatience.
We sincerely wish Daniel the best of luck with his project and settling into his new home.

I too had an unpleasant experience with this operation, had it not been for my fortitude and grace, things may well have gotten "ugly". That being said , the particulars in this matter are of such a nature that perhaps this forum isn't the best place to air such a grievance , the fact is, there are no victims - just volunteers! If you're looking for "Professionalism" . . . . . . . . well, it'd probably be better to hire professionals, on the other hand, if you're a gambling sort of bloke, well then , lady luck just might shine on you. In the Islands , if you steal they cut off your hand, in these parts though, they may just cut off two of your fingers, leaving you with three fingers :/

Wow, that is some very selective thinking on Raechel's part in the post above. The fact is that anyone in any field (be it an attorney, real estate broker or a painter) who is good at what they do, is busy these days. Raechel is not unique in this regard. I wrote her a long and detailed email at HER request. It deserved to be acknowledged, at the very least. No one in a service business is ever “too busy” to shoot a quick email to a potential customer at the end of the day (interesting though how she did make time in her busy schedule to post the long response above). That’s basic professional courtesy 101.

Raechel's unfortunate and convenient mischaracterization of me as “impatient” (I'm not sure how waiting for two weeks qualifies as being impatient, but whatever) is nothing more than an attempt to obscure the central issue here which is that she was non-responsive. End of story. A simple apology would have been a more appropriate and professional response in this case.

In my experience 3 Fingers Painting were incredible. I met with several people and received a number of bids. Raechel and Sope were by far the most professional, trustworthy and reasonably priced. They are all around GOOD people who are very talented and did a hands down outstanding job with my place. I'd recommend them endlessly.

I am a professional interior designer, and run my own Holistic Design business. My philosophy is to work with like-minded people who share a similair approach to running a business with integrity and professionalism. 3FingersPainting has met this criteria plus some. Their work speaks for itself (pictures of the projects they have done for me will be posted on my website shortly so you can see for yourself at sleewright.com). They continually rise to the challenges that I present to them and never have been unable to meet my creative needs. There professional documentation also makes my job easier and all of my clients have had smiles from the experience of working with them. I highly recommend 3FingersPainting.

We used 3 Fingers to repair walls and paint a room in our apartment which was in sad shape--lots of cracks, holes from electrical work and water damage. Not to mention shoddy workmanship by a previous contractor which needed undoing. My husband, who spent much time painting and repairing the rest of the apartment, has meticulously high standards as he spent time as a painter some years back. The transaction from start to finish was the most pleasant I've ever had with a contractor. Great communication by phone and email, very attentive to every major and minor issue I mentioned, they began and finished on schedule and the workmanship and execution was extremely high. The work involved a lot of plastering and as I'm very pregnant, it was a concern that our home maintain some semblance of cleanliness. The "mess" was confined to the room where the work was being done and the final clean-up was very thorough--we didn't have to do a thing. My husband and I are both very pleased and would use their services again in a heartbeat.

3 Fingers painted our entire apartment this past spring and we have been telling all our friends and colleagues about the wonderful work they did. They are as professional and courteous as they are skilled - - and by that I mean they function at a high level on all fronts. We were more than pleased with their work. They were quick to respond to any changes/modifications that came up during the process and were able to work under less than ideal circumstances when they had to share the workspace with a contractor/subcontractors that were not as fastidious about cleaning up as they were. We recommend them highly.

3 fingers took about a week to paint my apartment and did a wonderful job. I wanted a perfectionist paintjob that would remedy the sins of drywallers past. I also wanted a painter who would protect my apartment and its belongings during the process, since everything was pretty much staying in the place during the job. 3 Fingers was the right choice.

Raechel, Sope and their crew are a pleasure to deal with, got along with my co-op, and do wonderful work. They also moved every item of movable furniture in my apartment, covered it carefully, and at the end of the odyssey put it all back in the right place. They pulled up all the exposed wire, painted under it, and put it back-- and all the hookups functioned!

The plastering and patching made the sheetrock look like plaster. 3 Fingers is on speed dial for the next time I paint a ceiling blue. They are reliable, responsible, dependable, and easy to deal with. Not cheap, but in this case you get what you pay for and I recommend them to all my friends.
