I did not use them because my boyfriend was transferred and we had to move from Brooklyn :(, but this husband and wife from Ireland did come to our Park Slope brownstone duplex and gave us an excellent consultation that was extremely creative and great. The wife is a painter with a gallery on Atlantic Ave. The first estimate they gave me for the work was quite high but then they came down in price to the point where they were affordable but still a bit on the high side - however, I had such faith in their abilities after meeting with them that I was willing to cough up the extra bucks.
The only thing they don't do it any sort of textured or blended effects - just a regular paint job, but they certainly have an eye for color.
I used them and had a really great experience. They were quick (done in hours... granted, it's a Manhattan apartment, so it's not very big) and Ashley had a lot of helpful suggestions for me regarding how to go about choosing colors. In addition, as I'd only just moved in, I told her what I was hoping to have in a place to live, and she helped me with furniture placement as well.
All in all, incredibly easy to work with, friendly, prompt, and reasonably priced.
