If the entire product and construction budget was 17k, then job well done - the gray veneer looks very elegant.

The idea of using circular holes in the cabinets for the opening/closing really offsets the hard rectangles.

The corian countertop is also nicely executed.

Does anyone know the make of the stove/oven?

LOVE the sideways placed mini-fridge! ah... the bump-outs in the side counter is awesome when carried to the top cabinet and then brought over to the 'drop' in the cabinet over the oven hood... nice work.

i like how it looks like a desaturated picture! complex kitchen that looks incredibly simple. this feat is harder to accomplish than you would think.

I find gray depressing. If it had some color it would be great. I like the circular holes in the doors.

The stove/oven looks exactly like mine which is Fisher&Paykel.

ha, ONLY 17 grand. to put things in my perspective, that's over a year and a half of rent. What kind of an "on a budget" is that? I mean, I enjoy the inspiration, but don't act like they did something thrifty.

This is beyond gorgeous.

that's a great price even if it's just for the custom cabinets. if it's for the entire kitchen, it's a steal! i find the grey overwhelming, however. it could use some more color, or a bit more contrast, or something. i didn't even realize they were color photos until i saw the floor in relation to the cabinets. awesome look on the cabinets, though.

The only trick is that you have to have them mounted on sliding tracks above the door, not below. Tracks under the door always get gummed up, just like sliding patio doors do.

Everything is smart, beautiful, highly functional--except the Jonathan Adler dishware. It does not hold up--you'll need to replace it before the year is out. (I have the same set.)

From the 'before' picture it appears that quite a lot of the 'after' cabinetry is actually outside of the kitchen proper (that sad, inadequate little nook with which so any New Yorkers are afflicted). I wonder what the renovation only inside the nook cost?

It looks like the kitchen of a family of robots. And all for *only* 17K! Sorry, not a fan of the finished product, though the workmanship looks flawless.

It's a little too monochrome for me, but I do think it's quite well done. It's the sort of kitchen I would admire in someone else's house, but I wouldn't be able to live with it in mine.

I wish I had $17K for kitchen renovation! I'm trying to figure out how to redo my cabinets, back splash, and counters on less than $1,000.
