This is a lovely little place for pretty much everything. Knowledgeable staff. Bright and cheerful store. Excellent outdoor garden. Slightly pricey. On the plus side: Email the owners a question and they respond!
Located in Brooklyn, Root Stock & Quade is the combination of two stores which serendipitously merged in 2003. John Kerrigan created Root Stock and his specialty is garden and landscape design. This part of the shop sells home goods and tools for gardeners.
their website is not even current. Still has Valentines Day as the next holiday. What happened to their old site? It was really nice.
I spoke to them about doing flowers for my wedding in Brooklyn, and they were so extremely rude, I didn't pursue it. They're attitude was "Are you sure you can afford us?" while checking out my outfit. Very tacky. Their work was very nice, though.
