This is awesome. It's definitely a cardboard DIY i'd love to try. My cats love cardboard anything. You can make this even more luxurious by adding a small throw blanket for your kitty.

don't have a cat, but common sense says it's not likely to last too long....

I think it's cool and yeah the cat might get into shredding it but isn't that the point. If he does then just make another one. I'm sure you can spring for another cardboard box.

My cat would know that time and effort went in to creating it for him and therefore would ignore it.
