it's cute... but i suspect my cat would be nearly as likely to claw the chaise to shreds as to lounge upon it.

This is awesome. It's definitely a cardboard DIY i'd love to try. My cats love cardboard anything. You can make this even more luxurious by adding a small throw blanket for your kitty.

I think it's cool and yeah the cat might get into shredding it but isn't that the point. If he does then just make another one. I'm sure you can spring for another cardboard box.
