The Philipp Plein Dog Bed

2005_8_3_dog-bed2.jpg
The Philipp Plein Dog Bed is a luxurious, perfect item for those seeking an elegant, and timeless dog bed... if that is in fact what people are seeking these days.

With clear inspiration from classic modernists such as Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohe, this luxury dog bed features boxy cushions and a brushed stainless steel frame. The covers are easily removed for when Fido has one too many Cosmos and sullies himself.

At around $1,500, this is both hysterical and really unnecessary. But who are we kidding? We'd take it in a heartbeat if for no other reason than it makes the “Dogs playing poker" images come to life- but in a “classy” way.

The Dog beds are available at Postmodern Pets. AH

With a $1500 dog bed, Fresh Direct ain't looking so frivolous.

But boy, is this bed sweet. I know a Norfolk Terrier (the lovely Miss Gertrude Steinway Rose Cahill) who would look quite gorgeous on it...

Given my dog's love of carrying his bed around the apartment and shaking it like prey for entertainment, I don't think I'll be dropping the cash on this bed. It's quite nice, however.

Beautiful dog bed, but for well-heeled dog lovers and their pets, I'd recommend a beautiful professional set of Amanda Jones photographs of their favorite Fido (or Miss Gertrude Steinway Rose Cahill), as the case may be.

Half the price of the bed and a permanent reminder of why you love your dog in the first place.
