2005_1_4_paws.jpgGood food for dogs and cats. For the gourmet diet at lower prices we have been tipped off to Furry Paws, which are all over town:

"Even though I buy my dog 'fancy' organic dog food, I get it at Furry Paws, which has several locations and more reasonable prices on basics like food." Carolyn

NYMag agrees, calling Furry Paws "great for late workers" as they are open until 8:45pm, weeknights, and so does Citysearch, which says they "put the conventional milk bone to shame" with freshly baked treats, and "organic goods [that] could supply an ashram." They don't quite agree on price, however, citing a bit of sticker shock.

I've been very pleased with Flint River Ranch and have been feeding my dog the Puppy & Adult Kibble for over a year. There is no corn in their food, it is oven baked and my dog loves the taste. You can buy sample packs if you want to test out their dog or cat foods. There are no extra shipping costs and in my experience it has always arrived within two days. Click my name for the website.

I love going to Spoiled Brats down the block from my apartment. They're open until 10.

The staff here is generally slow and rude with a "can't be bothered" attitude. The food and dog treats are way overpriced, and of course nothing is marked, you never know what it is until they ring it up, sometimes 3 or four dollars per small bag of treats more than elsewhere. The owner sets the tone. He's a first rate jerk.
