This place is fantastic! The owners, Eddie and Sed, really know their stuff in terms of how to feed and care for your pet--AND I never felt that they gave me a hard sell. In fact, you're more likely to come away with free samples than stuff you don't want! Also notable for their wide array of fashionable leashes, harness, doggie clothes/booties/carriers, and pet beds, all nestled in a little bitty store. They also special order. This is my favorite pet store in NYC.

I love Spoiled Brats! It's walking distance from my office, so I wind up going there whenever I need dog food in an emergency (i.e., I didn't have time to go to my regular place over the weekend). They have a great selection, but I find that their prices are generally about 20% more than other pet stores. The real value is in the convenience and service!

Noone has mentioned that there are rescued cats for adoption in the back room! I have adopted 3 cats from Anjellicle Cats Rescue which has been in Spoiled Brats for years. Thanks so much to Eddie and Sed for having adoptable rescues instead of selling! Eddie and Sed have so much knowledge on the best brands of food, it really does help when there is so much to choose from. And Amin is always so friendly and helpful!

I shop in the store all the time. The owners are so nice and so helpful. And I love going in to see which cat gets roaming privileges that day. Anjellicle Cats in the back is worth the trip alone - so many adorable kitties you just have to take one home. And don't forget to kiss the owner's 17 yr. old cat - adorable!
