My sister collects orange glass. If we collected, we'd go for blue. And we might get our start affordably at West Elm, where we've spotted a few eye-catching blue glass pieces lately...

One is that glass ball lantern pictured up top. Made of hand-blown swirling blue glass, it's on sale for only $20 right now. Hang the lantern outdoors with a tealight inside for a little garden dining charm.
The Artisanal Vase Collection would get us started on a blue glass collection. It includes a large clear blue vase, an opaque blue glass pot, and a small swirled glass apothecary-style vase. The set of three is only $53 right now.
I have a pair of their purple glass lanterns. They're heavier and larger than I expected, but very pretty! They also make great house-warming gifts.

My raise can't come soon enough, I LOVE that first piece! So affordable! And I DO collect blue glass works.

Re: west elm
Supplies are getting scarce at the west elm in chelsea, where I hold down a part-time job...
the "dash for design" sale ends on 7/7 or 7/9, I can't remember, exactly - but it's soon.
There's some really cute pre-fall stuff coming out now too. A lot of the home accents have an illustration inspired theme like these storage boxes
