What if Ikea had a fancy older brother? Direct from Denmark comes Bo Concept, the equally vowel challenged first cousin to that other large furniture company. We have not had a chance to visit Bo, but we have heard so much about it we have given it an online evaluation.
Bo Concept is modern furniture of the woody, down to earth kind. It is more expensive than Ikea, but it is not expensive (couches under $1200 and all beds under $1000). It fits right in to your life when you have a little more $$, want something better in your home, and are tired of catching the bus to Elizabeth, NJ. It has a healthy range of furniture, from bedroom to glassware, but it is not so big that it overwhelms you with choices. This is all good.
I work near Bo Concept and have checked out their wares several times. I was turned off on my last visit when I looked at a bed. It was a floor model and 20% off (selling for about $800). The bed looked a lot like the Ikea malm bed but the salesperson explained that while they are both made of particle board (not what she called it), the Bo Concept version has a heavier wood laminate. OK. I opened the drawer under the bed and it felt cheap and rickety. I asked about delivery and was told in Manhattan it was $100 plus a set -up fee of 8% of the purchase price. Even if I assembled the bed myself I would still be charged the fee because it was assembled in the store (huh?). Then I asked if there was a version without the drawers and was told that there was but I'd need to buy more slats for support...and those are $39 each. I felt like I was being nickel-and-dimed for something not much better than Ikea.
I believe Bo Concept is the retail outlet for Club8 (www.club8.com) - which is the furniture manufacturer. Their stuff is pretty similar in quality to that of Palliser's EQ3 line (www.eq3.com).
I've gone into Bo Concepts myself, and unfortunately, I was not impressed. I took a look at their dressers -- Ikea quality with a higher price tag. No thanks!
We have had BO in the UK for a while now and there stuff in general is pretty good. They do really sting you for delivery and assembly but somtimes send out discount flyers if your on their mailing list - including free delivery.
Best line is their sofas. The modular system is excellent, you can add and remove bits to fit your apartment when you move.
I wanted so badly to believe in Bo Concept, and its Utopian promise of a sleeker Euro-life. But after over six visits (to one of their NJ locations) and as many phone calls over as many months, the ONE table lamp I wanted to buy is still in some container, trans-Atlantic. The grand culmination? A different employee told me, "Oh, you could have bought the floor model on your first visit." I remain lampless, Bo-disenchanted, and non-Euro-sleek.
I was not impressed with BoConcept. We asked about self-assembly (to avoid the 8% fee) and the very rude sales person asked how much experience we had with carpentry. If we had experience with carpentry, then we wouldn't be in this overpriced store to begin with, now would we?
To add insult to injury, the prices advertised on the BoConcept website are WRONG and the store refuses to honor the website prices.
Give this store the big miss - the staff are rude and the furniture is cheap and nasty. Roomandboard.com is infinitely superior - their furniture is solidly built, the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
I recently moved into a loft in Tribeca and purchased all my furniture from BoConcept. I can't tell the how much I love this place. The designs are great. It has the high-end look of ddc or ligne roset, but the prices are extremely afforardable. My sales person worked with me on their 3D CAD program and laid out all the furniture for the entire loft. Furthermore, because of the modularity of the furniture, she was able to customize my furniture to the way I wanted it. Although I was first discouraged by the 4 month wait for the sofa I designed (it's a U-shaped sofa approximately 15 feet wide), they actually ended up deliverying it to me 1 month early. Finally, for all the furniture I purchased the delivery fee was only $100. You really can't beat that in New York. I'm recommending this place to all my friends!
BoConcept has the BEST ACCESSORIES in town!!! If you want something unique and affordable THIS IS THE PLACE!!!
Bo is the best!! I have shopped at several Bo stores since they opened the first store in Paramus NJ several years ago. The personal service, trendy design and great quality beats anything else I have seen. Bo is the best!!
Very similar in styling to EQ3, the new mid-priced modern entre from Canadian manufacturer Pallisier. (www.eq3.com).
EQ3 is franchising out and has a store here in SF. Its on the 2nd floor of some cheesy sofa place on 9th, so although they may have the product I'd say their retail experience isn't where it needs to be. Quality of the furniture seems a step above Ikea, but nothing that will knock your socks off. Probably a safe bet if you are looking for affordable modern basics.
I think Bo's entertainment centers and wall units look more like the ones you see at DDC or Maurice Villency. The only difference is that it's one-fifth the price and it's more flexible.
I think EQ3 has much better (think original) design than Bo Concepts. I, too, live in San Francisco and I don't have any problem with their location. Especially considering how difficult it is to find any decent space in the city. Besides, 9th street is considered Furniture Row in SF.
I just received delivery from Boconcept today. The look, the wait(12 to 14 weeks for sofas, made in Denmark, they said!) and the quality are just like any high end furniture stores but with very affordable prices. It is definately WORTH waiting.
A visit to the Bo Concept store on Madion is an extremely deceptive experience: salespersons are rude and incompetent, the products are basically knock offs of higher end lines with an Ikealike quality and most of their accessories can be found in Chinatown.
I find David's comment highly suspicious: you have a loft in Tribeca and purchased ALL your furnitures at Bo Concept? Sounds like someone associated with BConcept want to counter balance the negative comments posted here!!!
Re accessories. Try Kam Man or Pearl River. Kam Man has better prices.
I brought my bedroom set, sofa and a lot accesories from the Madison store. For the price I paid, I have no complain. The service is ok. My question is for Chuck, where in Chinatown can I find Bo accesories? I love their stuffs but if I can get it at a cheaper prices, it will make my day! Thanks in advance.
I've bought furniture from Bo and love it. The experience was pleasant. For the amount I paid and what I got, it's definitely a good value.
I love BO!
So far Bo Concepts is at the bottom of the pile when it comes to customer service. An order for a king bed platform was entered nearly three months ago and all that we have gotten since then has been a crummy song and dance after song and dance about shipments not received in NY, yada...yada...yada, shipping time to Phoenix, yada...yada...yada, can't deliver it for 2 more weeks even tho it is in town. These people need to learn about customer service, soon.
I purchased a sofa and chair from Bo and while I'm happy with the look and overall quality of the furniture I can't help but be turned off by the customer service. We had to call them to find out about our order and arrange delivery. When the items were delivered the guy did not have the correct screws to put the couch together, however he tried to force the piece together using the wrong parts before I caught on and told him I wanted it put together right. The chair was delivered dirty so they had to take that back to clean and they left the couch disassembled in my livingroom. Fine mistakes happen, our salesperson said she would credit our delivery charges and setup for our inconvenience but later reneged. Top it off the couch cushions were foam instead of feather like we ordered, so they had to be re-ordered. I like the design and look of furniture, but I doubt I'll shop there again after my experience.
Bo Concept does in fact have terrible customer service. Twice I've ordered from them and twice I've had to be the one chasing down some "manager" in a warehouse in NJ in order to track down my order. Once I finally found him there was no apology, simply more incompetence. Don't waste your time.
Had the same horrible customer service experience as David. I ordered a couch and after two months of waiting for it to be delivered I discovered the store never processed my order through to the warehouse--something the manager called a "common mistake". Had I never called the warehouse to check on my order, I would still be waiting. The manager never offered anything to make the situation better (free shipping or something would've sufficed) nor did he try to get the couch to me as soon as possible. He told me it would take almost another month. After such a mistake I expected the manager to be on top of the situation, but instead he didn't return my calls and continuously lied to me. That behavior turned me off so much that I got a refund and took my business elsewhere.
I have a lot of friends who bought from Bo. Most had a good experience with them. They're very happy with the furniture and the price. One had a problem but nothing serious. The problem was typical to any furniture store and resolved quickly.
I thought my experience was as expected. I picked the furniture and paid for it. They brought it, assembled it and left. End of story.
Danish Modern is a very popular area for collecting these days. But the real deal, the orignal designs can be found at antiques shows. Not all antiques shows are pricey. Check it out for yourselves.
My experience with Bo Concepts in the Washington, D.C. area was very favorable. I found a sleek, maple sideboard that I am delighted with...it only took two years to find. And Bo Concept had it, both at a reasonable price and with a short delivery time. It was delivered and assembled well and, again, at a very reasonable rate. I'm delighted and would recommend the store to others. The sales people were helpful, knowledgeable and polite.
From a Dream to a Nightmare...
Similar to most of your stories, my boyfriend and I fell in love (with the furniture) when we first walked into the BO Concepts in Boston, which recently opened in Sept 04. We loved the style, concepts and service and ended up buying ALL of our furniture there - 1 Bed, 2 night stands, 1 large dresser drawer, 2 couches, 4 coffee tables, 2 Entertainment center/drawers, matching shelving for the walls and 2 ottomans. Since we were one of the first customers and bought over $7000.00 worth of furniture, they gave us a discount on one of the couches ($400 off). We were told the furniture was from Denmark and the couches were from Italy, and that we should expect our furniture before Thanksgiving (10 weeks from order date). Well Thanksgiving came and went and they said we should have the furniture before X-mas....x-mas came and went and they said end of Jan. At this point we are thankful we have a mattress and TV. Jan came and went...no furniture (at this time we ordered the 2nd couch, 2nd entertainment center and 2 ottomans). The bedroom is in, but it's in NY....couch still in Italy. Finally we received the bedroom set, coffee tables & entertainment center in February 20 weeks after ordering. The guy arrived late in the evening (after 7.30), and my boyfriend had to help assemble most of it, b/c he was having problems alone. While assembling they dented/damaged the entertainment center. My boyfriend was too exhausted to complain at that point...it took about 4-5 hours to assemble (he left around 11.30pm/12). It is now March and 22 weeks since we ordered the first couch....we are still sitting on the floor. They have never once volunteered an explanation of why it is taking so long. Different individuals have given us different reasons and have given us different delivery dates. We recently cancelled the ottomans and have found out today that they are denying they ever offered the discount on the couch. We went from loving this store and recommending it to everyone to hating it and warning people from it. It's too bad, they should really get a grasp on their suppliers. We will never buy from BO again....
I had an experience not as bad as the one above but it wasn't pleasant either. I won't go into the details of the situation but I did call the customer service manager (888-616-3620 - just in case any one needs it) and explain the whole situation from beginning to end. She was very sympathetic. She sent me loaners, flew the furniture over from where ever it comes from (sweden?), and compensated me for my troubles. I thought I would never shop there again, but given the quick turn of events, I'm content. I'll re-consider going back.
my wife and i went to boconcept to look for new furniture for our new house. we went to the door store on 34th and park and were treated unprofessionaly because we said we weren't ready to buy to get them off our backs, they were following us ALL AROUND the store!!
We went to Boconcept on madison, the salesperson showed us how to use the software to design furniture based on our own taste. We bought everything from couch to vase with a pleasant experience, NO ATTITUDE... Thanks Layla and Terry. C u soon again.
Visited the new Bo Concept store on 18th Street, between Sixth and Seventh Avenues, for the first time about a week ago. The store opened in March, I believe. Loved the look of the furniture and took home a catalog. Went back today, interested in one of the pieces we saw in the catalog, but they didn't have it on the floor. The design consultant, Michelle, helped us create what we were looking for using their software. (Which doesn't work on Macs, btw.) She was very knowledgeable about their lines and how to customize the pieces they offer. She was able to create a piece that was even better than what we were looking for -- number of drawers, number of shelves, etc. -- for a lot less than what we've been seeing for pieces that weren't exactly right. Can't speak to any of the delivery issues others have experienced, but as far as in-store customer service goes, I was very impressed.
Have anybody ever wondered why there are soooooooo many asian people working at both Bo stores?
I did some invstigating into Bo Concept myself. I saw the ad in Dwell. I didnt think the stuff was worth the extra bits either. I just found this new company from San Francisco that does modern design for half the price of the original. Their Noguchi table version is $400 instead of $1000. I ordered a few things, a "potato chip chair" (their version of an Eames chair) and some book cases - which is actally made of solid wood(!!) not partical board. They also offer interchangable legs. I chose the metal legs but they have solid wood legs too. www.americanmodernfurniture.com
I was worried about some posts about post-sales service, but BoConcept's people in NYC were terrific (especially Michelle). I ordered a sofa, ottoman, dining table and chair. While the Lind sofa arrived about 2 weeks late (10 instead of 8 weeks after ordering), the delivery/assembly team was on time and friendly. The mid-priced leather I chose (which was nicer than the more expensive options I thought)looks and feels incredible. It's stitched beautifully and the sofa (with a chaise built in)is solid and the perfect bachelor pad furniture I wanted. It came in pieces that were simple to transport in my building's small elevators. The delivery guys also did an expert job of assembling the complicated expanding dining table. In short, competitive, relatively affordable prices for great design and friendly service from start to finish. Overall quality of store's merchandise seemed to vary greatly when I shopped the showroom, but if you stick to the items that seem well-made, I think the store is a winner.
Bought my couch in Livingston NJ. Love the furniture and the quality.
RE Have anybody ever wondered why there are soooooooo many asian people working at both Bo stores?
i dunno and i think its european furniture. ah, who knows?
Recently purchased a coffee table from BO Concepts. Initally, I was very happy about my purchase. Finally, received a call that my table was in and to call the warehouse, located in New Jersey, to make arrangements for delivery. I have been trying for two weeks to get to talk to a "Maryann" to make my arrangements. I will not make any future purchases from the store and I am very disappointed with Customer Support.
Not Worth It,
Donna
Brought a queen size platform bed from Bo in nyc from the 18th street store. Salesperson gave me wrong dimensions and like a fool, didn't verify. Wanted 100 for delivery and 150 for assembly. Figured a college grad like myself can do it.
Furniture came within 2 weeks, assembly was ok. It's def. Ikea like in assembly style and material. But design is better in all their stuff overall. So my only complaint is (my fault also) that now because of the wrong dimensions , I can't use my Ikea bench which is on rollers slide between my new bed to use as a roll-table.
Can i just say that having read the majority of comments on this website that i believe boConcept is a good store. There are, of course issues with damaged goods and delivery etc. I ask anyone to find a company that makes NO mistakes at all!!
I live in the UK and have a BoConcept in Glasgow near me.
The staff are friendly, know there stuff and go out of there way to help.
I think the problem for most people in the US is that your local BoConcept is not in Glasgow!!
Please dont tar the same brush to all the stores in the world.
There designs ARE good value and having an expert design to them. They have the flexibilty too, which not many other retailers can offer.
If you ever move to the UK and need new modern designer furniture i dare you, no TELL you to buy from BoConcept Glasgow (there shipping and delivery times are 3 weeks by the way!!)
email them: glasgow.uk@boconcept.com
cheers

RE a previous comment: "Have anybody ever wondered why there are soooooooo many asian people working at both Bo stores?"
What does the racial background of their employees have to do with the quality of their furniture or customer service?
It seems you're holding back further comments there (unlikely pro-multiculturalism) ... thanks for having the decency, or shame, to keep it to yourself.
Hi,
Now this days Indian Furniture Quaility are Top most Best its Quaility,Finishing,Packing, etc. as per International standard...
It's definitely amateur hour over at Bo Concept. It's almost as if they have no idea how to run a business. Why should it take three weeks for an IN STOCK item to make its way from thier warehouse to their retail outlet for in-store pickup?
If you are looking for wood furniture BoConcept is not the best place to shop. Almost all of their furniture is wood veneer over particle board. The only exception is their Solid & Basic line. This line is made from wood with wood veneers. As far as durability goes, the finish on most of the furniture is easily scratched especially if it has a gloss finish. The dressers are poor quality and cannot hold alot of clothes. Believe it or not I think IKEA has better quality here. If you are going to shop here the only items I recommend are the upholstered furniture pieces, but they can take as long as 4 months to come in.
... and by the way the warehouse manager can afford to be a jerk because he is the founder and owner of BoConcept & Club8's son.
Damn! I love this place! I wish someone told me about it earlier. Best place for furniture in town. You can't beat the great modern look for the great price. I cancelled my sofa from Ligne Roset for their mezzo sofa.
I have just recently
purchase a few items at Bo Concept and was very thrill to encounter such a
very pleasant, diligent and professional person as herself. In the past I
have experience good customer service, but this is by far the best service I
have ever encounter. You have done a great deed for your company by hiring
such a person as Ms. Rivera. I hope you feel the same as I do when I say she
deserve a promotion. Rest to sure, I will definitely return to your store
and also highly recommend your store to friends and family
does anybody know when the next Bo party is?
just doing some research on boconcepts and just found this page. i just went to their madison ave store this afternoon looking fopr a couch. THEY ARE NOT COMFORTABLE whatsoever!! no complaints about their design though. i love the fact that u can decide which pieces u want to put together. it would be perfect if jennifer convertibles (very comfortable but cheap fabric!) had that kind of flexibility. the salespeople just need to back off a bit.
anyone know anywhere else i can look let me know:

I actually work for a Bo Concept store.
In my 7 total years of selling furniture, I've learned that there is a HUGE difference in attitudes and expectations from younger customers in comparison to more experienced and older customers. In a nut shell, the younger customers who have just come across finacial flexibilty to purchase furniture of their choice are THE WORST CUSTOMERS to have, as soon as something takes a slight turn off of the mapped route. Buying furniture to a younger customer is new and very much foriegn to them. They don't have the buying experience to realize that a production time of 12 to 14 weeks to recieve a custom made sofa sent from Europe is actually a industry standard. Where as when I mention this to a more experienced shopper, many of them are pleased to hear their sofa could be ready as early as 3 months.
To all of you young, inexperieced, quick to complain customers, LISTEN, we don't need to hear it. If you're looking for the instant gratification of recieving your furniture within a week of the purchase, then stick to shopping at Crate and Barrell or Pottery Barn, because all you end up ordering from us is same boring Beige Sofa that you could get from anywhere. You know the sofa I talking about, you're probably sitting on it right now. So why come to our store just to realize that perhaps YOU are not the ones ready for Bo Concept.
To all those disappointed customers who purchased their first sets of furniture from Bo Concept, let this be a learning lesson to you.
Sure, I could see why one would assume for speedier service as they walk into any of our showrooms. I'd be fooled by large store layouts to assume that what's displayed on the showroom would be able to be delivered within a week or so. But perhaps if you took the time to understand what Bo Concept is all about, then you'd realize that what is displayed on the showroom is just a tiny percentage of what could be done by using our modular parts. And to create and configure sofas, wall sytems, bedroom sets, Dining sets, this all takes time, maybe more time than you can afford. Who do you think IKEA is for? They're for you.
This is the reason why we as a sales staff LOVE TO WORK WITH OLDER, MORE EXPERIENCED and more importantly, KNOWLEDGEABLE SHOPPERS, because no matter what you throw at them, they've been through it all before.
I want to end this rebuttable on a good note,
and I'll end it by saying this. Before you walk into a Bo Concept, OR any other European Furniture store, know this. You're going to have to wait for the good stuff, and there's nothing anyone can do to speed up the process. With time, you'll realize that we as a furniture store can not control many of the situations that make the process so lengthly, such as weather conditions that do not allow a freight liners to be sent overseas, holidays, backorders, etc. As a sales staff, we do not recieve any commsission on the orders until the customer recieves their furniture,(12-14 weeks) so of coarse we want to you to get your furniture as bad as you do.
And you wouldn't believe me even if I swore on my mother's life, but was I'm writing this, an older shopper walked in with one of our catalogs, with pages tabbed off of the items he wants, explained to him how our service works, and within 5 minutes, he spent $7,500 like there was no tomorrow. Again, I LOVE MATURE, EXPERIENCED SHOPPERS.

Buying furniture to a younger customer is new and very much foriegn to them. First, they're unsure of their choices and usually make bad decisions, even after the guidance from a sales staff. Customers always like to think that they're selections are well thought out and planned, but many of them are watching too much HGTV and think they're designers in training. Most of the Bo Concept sales staff have several years of professional decorating experience, and when we see a young shopper moving in the wrong direction, you'd be amazed with what they come up with to justify their decision, only in the end to have a living room of hodge podge furniture. Secondly, they don't have the buying experience to realize that a production time of 12 to 14 weeks to recieve a custom made sofa sent from Europe is actually a industry standard. Don't worry you young, and unexperienced shoppers, one day too, you will become older, more mature and experienced shoppers. There's hope for you too.
what i thought was very unfortunate about the store was the fact that they don't carry the lower priced pieces for evaluation. only via catalog.
the sales person that i dealt with was very nice and helpful, even though she knew i couldn't afford anything.
in response to the Employee... get over yourself!
That particular employee is the reason I will take the money I was going to spend at BoConcept and spend it elsewhere. Who wants Rolls Royce attitude from a Lexus (and Im being generous by not saying Toyota) dealer? I was in the middle of placing an order for a whole new room and Im canceling immediately. Maybe this employee, who has all of seven years of experience, will learn that to older customers who have the shopping experience and can spend more money, bad service and an arrogant attitude are deal breakers.
To BoConcept management take a look at this page, you cant buy this type of advertising. Make sure you thank the employee who posted here.
We have a new Bo Concepts, here in Jacksonville, Florida.....Sophistication has come to the south.....we love Bo Concepts.....the accessories are very good quality and most of the furniture is also.......we hope it does very well in this market.....
That is a very poor business attitude to have, especially since the avg age of people buying modern furniture is younger than those purchasing most other types of furniture. It seems that it would be wise to try and cater to the younger buyers or at least not insult them. Anyways, business should be business no matter what and if you tell someone you can get the product in X amount of time, the product should be delivered in that time, plus or minus 10-20%. I would have no problem waiting 20 weeks for an item if that was the agreed upon time but if it is estimated at 4 weeks and it takes 8 weeks, this is unacceptbale in any business, and for any age customer. Just do what most smart businesses do, allow yourself some extra time when estimating and be realistic. Heck, sounds like you should double the estimates to start with and if it comes early your customers should be happy.
That being said, I want to order a dining table (the one with the aluminum and middle extension) but I'm scared it won't come on time or be poor quality when does. I live in the SF bay area and have no way of actually seeing the product so any comments on this piece is appreciated.
Also, someone mentioned room&board being a good place to shop. I just dropped a few grand there and I have to say I was very dissapointed. The showroom in SF is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and knowledgable, the best trained staff I've ever encountered at a furniture store. The stuff arrived on time BUT the bed legs which are factory assembled (welded) are bent, which seems like a factory mistake, not a delivery mistake. Screws were half way screwed in sometimes. The top of the headboard is lopsided. The office armoire I got was messed up at the factory and refinished. You could tell because the delivery guys had it all wrapped up and the wrapping had no damage. The delivery guys were good but when they unwrapped it, it had lots of covered up flaws and a dent here, a nick there on lots of the shelves. The veneer is very soft and maybe only 10% better than IKEA grade. For me, I like customer service but I would trade that for quality material any day. Spent over 3000 on a bed and desk that were damaged but do to the trouble it took to get it here I will live with it.
To the BoConcept Employee: I can't believe you said it, and I hope if your company knows you said it you are no longer a BoConcept employee. You're an idiot if you think that people are not going to be upset when their pieces do not arrive in a timely manner. If you read the reviews carefully - people were not complaining that the pieces took 8-12 weeks as they were complaining that the pieces were taking far longer than the quoted time. You call these buyers "young and inexperienced" - I've been in the home goods business for over 10 years, and I'd say that a company that can't get a grip on it's suppliers is "young and inexperienced." Considering you've been selling furniture for 7 years you sound very inexperienced (If you know that younger buyers who have recently become able to purchase higher quality furnature will have a hard time you should guide them better, isn't that what your commission is for?) and immature (A CUSTOMER SHOULD NEVER BE SPOKEN TO THE WAY THAT YOU SPOKE TO EVERY BOCONEPT CUSTOMER IN THE WORLD WITH YOUR POSTING.)
Idiot. That's right - I said it. You're a fool.
Word.
My experience with Bo Concepts has been mixed. Their furniture, design and concept of mass customization is brilliant. However, their execution and unfocused customer service is beyond frustration. I made a considerable purchase that I am satisfied with but would not recommend their furniture due their lack of focus and poor execution when they have already made the sale. As working professional, I will not expect them to provide a reliable service. I entered into an agreement to have the delivery within a three-month period and ended taking almost 5 months. If I were to budget a project for a customer and set the expectations for 3 months you know the customer would be furious if at the end of three months I would have to tell them it would take another 2 months. I was contemplating of purchasing a whole design for my bedroom but now I am considering other options. In addition, their delivery service is the worst I have ever experienced it was like receiving an erector set after I was told that there would be minimal assembly required. The furniture were like huge Lego pieces and making a considerable purchase there was no consideration of taking their own trash. What in earth are they thinking? If I were to leave the trash in front of my apartment I am sure that the other tenants and the department of health would have something to say about that and lets say it would not be can we of any help.
In addition, after speaking with customer service and providing explicit directions in attempting to make amends to the series of blunders in respect to my order, there was no follow through as it went to def ears. The instructions given were simple and any rational person would expect that they would honor those requests. The store charged my credit card when I have given explicit instructions that I should be contacted first before the transaction would be authorized. I proceeded to call the store so they remove the charge from the credit card. A gentleman who answered the phone used a standard tactic employing a high-aggressive toned voice and not allowing me to speak which I found to be completely unwarranted explaining why the mistake occurred. I found this to completely unacceptable since my only intention was to place to their attention that a charge was made without my consent and authorization and wanted to follow up that the charge would be subsequently removed.
In addition, when I received the call from the transportation team, I received notice that they will be arriving between the time of 3:30 to 7:00 PM as my instructions were that only deliveries could be made between the hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM at the building that I live in. This is another point where again the attention to my instructions and details were not considered.
To top this off for my troubles customer service wanted to make amends by offering a gift certificate to their store and in true form the gift certificate has not arrived but I did receive my payments stubs for two credit card charges.
This page I have stumbled upon has made me both laugh and cringe...as I am on my way to the Bo warehouse to pick up a piece that I have waited weeks for. This is actually my third Bo purchase, but only second trip to warehouse, and I must tell you, the two trips have been less painful than the one crazy wait I have endured. So, Lesson 1: if you can manage it, and have your own SUV or spacious vehicle, pick up your own furniture at the warehouse. You'll save on the $100 delivery fee, and it also seems to speed up the shipping time.
One reason I believe the waiting time is cut by delivering direct to their docks is a direct correlation to the position and attitudes of some of the Bo staff...after reading the posting by the Bo concept employee here (and some of the brilliant rebuttals: Rolls Royce vs. Lexus-Toyota! ha ha), I can see why things take so long...as a "young" (whatever that means, but I'm just over 30) furniture consumer, I have purchased from several high end (Maurice Villency, Ligne, Desiron) AND "low" end (IKEA, Jennifer Convertibles, Jensen Lewis) furniture stores, and I will testify here that other than IKEA, who has built a business on having items you want in stock and ready to take home that day, most furniture stores will give you an estimated lengthy delivery time on all goods. Unless you're buying from a warehouse or sample sale, that is the norm. (My "low" end sofa from Jennifer took three months just to come from No. Carolina somewhere.) However, where the Bo employee is missing the point is that consumers just would like to be well-informed and told the truth about every aspect of their purchase. If an item will take indeed 12 weeks to come from Denmark, vs. the "oh, it'll be here in 8 weeks or so" lie, then TELL US THAT. Most customers hear the "8 weeks" part of that sentence, and don't understand that the Twilight Zone of "or so" is where their small table lamps and glass-topped tables really live.
I guess the saving grace is that Bo has several locations, I believe they are franchised, so your Bo experience will lie within the care of the individuals that run/staff the store you visit. I have worked with the Paramus and Livingston NJ stores, and actually have never been inside the Livingston store, but have a saleswoman/owner that I have contacted by phone when I want something from their catalog. When I had a "8 to 10 week" wait for an entertainment/storage unit turn into more like 13 weeks, without any phone calls from them to explain or inform why, I complained to the store management and they were very sincere with apologies and rescinded the $100 delivery fee when the piece finally came in. (and Sidebar note: no, I don't have trade schooling in carpentry and at first spilling ALL the parts to my item onto the floor seemed a daunting task, but with a little concentration, and perhaps two hours more than my longest IKEA assembly project, I managed to get my unit together on my own, and it is sturdy and beautiful.) And when I discovered later that I needed an additional section to go with the one I'd already purchased, I called back to place that order, and the saleswoman I deal with told me that she was surprised but grateful that I'd called to order again after the troubles I had with my first delivery. Troubles, by the way, which were compounded more by the non-responsiveness of the staff at both the store and the warehouse not communicating they way they should, not just the actual slow-boat from Europe journey.
So you see, SNIDE FURNITURE STORE EMPLOYEE, us "young" furniture buyers do get frustrated LIKE ANYONE ELSE over items promised that don't deliver when said, however, if the store is truly interested in fostering a long-term relationship, or even just a pleasant one-time sale that can generate further word of mouth, they will do what needs to be done to make the customer happy. If all you're interested in is assisting "older, more mature" buyers who have time and money to drop $7500 on out-of-the-box furniture "like there's no tomorrow" and wait for it for months, that's fine...he actually sounds like he might have been using your furniture to furnish a waiting room or model apartment...or perhaps re-selling your stuff to other prospective customers -- without a wait. But even the customer who drops a mere $500 on a table they really want deserves the SAME respect. If you can't figure that out, then maybe you shouldn't be in sales.
I will continue to buy from Bo, and any other store who sources from other locations other than their showroom floor and backstock room, if they have items I like. I just now know the exact questions to ask and how to follow up so that I will not become frustrated when my salespeople or warehouse staff does not.
We purchasd from Bo and expect a 4 month delivery. In the interim -- within the first 2 weeks of the order, we realizd that a mistake was made in laying out the sectional. Well, Bo will not correct it unless we pay a premium of 50%. However, the latest is 20% which is still $500 to change a chaise so it fits properly in the room. Well, they helped lay it out, and fortunately, we realized it was wrong!
The manager is unbendable, phone calls are not answered, no customer service, no flexibility. The whole thing has soured me totally on the store. Why go there, when you can go somewhere else and be worked with. The stuff is not cheap, actually expensive, but we were willing to spend the money to get what we wanted. Now we are stuck with an on-going argument, because if we were to wait for 4 months, they certainly could make a change within 2 weeks of the order, which was a mistake made by them.
We don't have the furniture, we have a lot of hard feelings and we don't like the place at all.
I have just found this web site by accident & as a BoConcept store manager in Glasgow, Scotland I'm to be honest shocked at the treatment some of you have received from BoConcept stores in the US. I would urge any customer who has a complaint to place it in writing or e-mail to the store management team. If you do not feel they have dealt with your complaint unfairly there is a Regional Operations Manager in every country whos job is to support the store but to ensure BoConcept brand & values are adhered to at all times. He or she will certainly highlight any issues you may have with an individual store & ultimately feed this back to Denmark to collate any issues that may need addressing in the short or long term.
Delivery times in the UK are the best in the industry, 3 weeks for wood veneer furniture & 6/7 for any upholstery. I do appreciate that overseas will have an added delivery due to shipping & delivery schedules to various warehouse around America, but there is no excuse for delays not being communicated to customers as Club8 our parent company of BoConcept do communicate any delay automatically with all the franchised or company owned stores. Our sofas & all upholstery has its final quality check the few days prior to shipment & therefore if the quality dept are not happy then it will be delayed & the store will be advised which may be a reason for some complaints but rather a delay than a sofa that is not to our high standards. If you do have a BoConcept sofa the chances are there may not be the exact same combination in that fabric anywhere else in the world. Mistakes can be made by both the staff in store & by customers but I personally always make sure we deal fairly & place myself in the customers shoes when problems arise even if Bo is not at fault there are options open to selling a piece of furniture in store ( if space allows) at a discount & the customer can recover some of the cost for their mistake. As for quality there is a huge difference from Bo to other manufactures & as Ikea appears quite a lot in peoples comments please be assured that Ikeas quality is not even close to ours & my best friend is a manager of Ikea in Australia who agrees with me as many an arguement has come between us with our maufacturing process & quality.
Rob
Honestly speaking..You simply cant beat their designs or their prices! It seems that customer service is an issue with a few people, but dont blame it on the company, blame it on the managers and sales people who dont represent the company in the best of light. I have purchased several peices in the past 5 years from the Georgetown store and absolutely love them ALL. Quality matches up with the best of them and value is pretty much unmatched, atleast from what i have seen.
A year after purchasing an expanding dining table, cool TWA Terminal-looking chair and sectional Lind leather sofa, I'm still a fan of Bo. You have to be somewhat selective to find the pieces with better quality construction, but it looks great in my single-guy apartment.
This is hilarious.
An old auto service dept guy told me that people love to get screwed and will come back over and over again to get screwed.
Also, insanity is doing the same wrong thing over and over again and expecting different results. Something like that.
Why would someone selling budget knock-off furniture get arrogant? One step away from selling Chinese underware at Walmart and you think you are hot?
I bought my living room here. it's def the best design and value in town.
I have purchased a couple of pieces of furniture from BO Concepts. Both times I felt the customer service was awful. Most sales persons (although not all) were most definitely rude and all that I dealt with were most certainly uninformed about their products. Questions about interchanging hardware were met with "I don't knows" and very little effort in trying to help me out by finding out. It was suggested I buy the new hardware ($50) and try it out myself but if it didn't work I couldn't return it. This came from one of the managers! Let's be honest here. The furniture is not high-end but it's also not cheap. Good customer service is about helping every customer out no matter how big or samll the purchase. I'd rather shop at Crate & Barrel any day even if it's a bit generic as their customer service is EXCELLENT. To me it's all about customer service. That's what gets me back in a store. BO Concepts just lost a customer here.
Oh, and I'm wondering if the rude customer service is specific to us here in NYC. Maybe elesewhere the BO sales folks are a bit kinder.
I suspect, having visited the Bo Concepts in NYC and the one in Orange, CT, that the customer service problems are local to the NYC store(s). Milford staff are helpful, courteous, and professional. Less so in NYC.
As to quality and design, I am speechless at some of the comparisons here. Villency can NOT be mentioned in the same breath with Ligne, to begin with. Villency is true quality Euro-design contemporary furniture, original in design and beautifully constructed and finished. Their pieces will look just as good 50 years from now. Ligne is a cheaply-constructed Villency wannabe. Bo Concepts is a step below Ligne quality but lacks Ligne design; it's a step above Ikea but much overpriced in comparison. FTR, we have several Villency pieces in our contemporary house, a couple Bo Concepts pieces, and a single Ligne piece. No Ikea. We have compared for years between furniture, and can say unequivocally that Ikea and Villency are excellent value for the dollar (if you happen to like Ikea Euro-trash designs), Bo Concepts is average value and pretty boring 70's Danish/Swedish design (you can get American equivalents of better quality for less), and Ligne is poor value for dollar unless you catch one of their store-closing sales (which we did). We love our Bo Concepts wooden place mats, however - really clever and original - just wish their furniture was that and about 40% less and we might have bought more.
Just went to a new Bo store here in Denmark 2 weeks ago (where most products are produced). It was an OK experience customerservice also professional and what you could expect.
Delivery 8 days. Prices are in the low end.
But I envy you out there who don't have to assembly the furnitures your self !!! Here it was just delivered in a box and I had to do the job my self. But compared to what I saved by not buying a top brand I'll definitely do the same again.
Yehhh!!! Bo's opening in SoHo.
We had a horrible experience with Bo Concept.. the side board we purchased did not have finished edges on the areas facing the wall. Make sure you look closely at all furniture, including hidden areas! Sales people were pretentious and rude. Delivery was hours later than promised. If you get the furniture assembled (which for a $1000 piece of furniture you think would be included) you can not return the item (even after say noticing that there is raw particle board visible) unless you pay a 40%!! re-stocking fee. Customer service is atrocious, we were given a multi-day run around between the delivery group, warehouse and retail store, which all have no knowledge of eachothers operations. DON'T BUY FROM BO CONCEPT!!!!
I have a lot of Bo furniture. Their customer service is just...atrocious, it is true. But i like their designs and they are better made than Ikea, no question about it. To the person who asked why everyone is Chinese who works there, the answer is that a Chinese family owns the franchise stores here in NYC and staffs the stores with people they know.
Incidentally, the service at the Flatiron location is much better than the service you get in Chelsea.
Cheers
Jana's post above is misleading or not true because I had no problems returning a dining table for one that had a different wood finish. The restocking was 20% as specified in writing on the terms and condition.
Granted BC has some customer service issues; but I don't know who doesn't. I had a terrible experience with Sleepy's mattress. Also, where in the area does one get better modern furniture for the price? I just moved from Texas but I've done a lot of research. All in all, for somebody who needs value and fast delivery, I am a happy customer.
BoConcept in Tysons Corner, VA has overall decent customer service. The people are arrogant, but when you live not too far from diplomats and our current president and people of their ilk. You get used to this type of behavior very quickly. I digress...
The furniture is cool looking, but cheaply made. Come on people, if you have to assemble or pay to assemble furniture, it is safe to say that you are NOT getting quality. Last time I checked, I am NOT a master craftsman and therefore my furniture should come to my home assembled with white glove service.
Even if you can't afford high quality furniture, get yourselves to auctions with older furniture, and at least it will be of better quality. (Yes people, BoConcept furniture is NOT new! They had most of this stuff around in the 50s, 60s, and 70s!)
My advice overall, if you are in a rush to by marginal furniture that looks good, get yourself to Bo, otherwise, get a City Paper or hop on Google and find a decent auction in your neck of the woods.
It takes time to furnish a home or apartment or wherever you live. Be patient, pay for the good stuff, and over time it'll be worth the hassle. Otherwise, buy crap and have to replace it every time you move because all of this particle board stuff is going to fall apart in the near future. They don't build this furniture to last because they make more money if you have to replace it every couple of years.
As a side note, Bo now has an actual architectural design service - modular homes, built by guys across the pond. I think this is the coolest thing they have got going for them. Check it out if you get a chance...
Good luck and happy purchasing!
Jo
I had just purchased an apartment two years ago and was looking for furniture and happened upon Bo. I liked one bed and proceeded to talk to a sales person, who was rude and didn't know much about anything. Additionally, the other furniture at Bo was pretty crappy, quality-wise. Nevertheless, I really liked the solid and basic bed in wenge and called their nj store, had it delivered and assembled with absolutely no problems. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend anything from Bo, besides their beds; nor would I ever venture into the Manhattan store again.
HMMM, my last 3 purchases (over $20K in total) have ALL been wonderful experiences except for the fact that i waited 7 weeks for my upholstered items...but then again i havent seen where i can get a sofa/loveseat/chair combo in the exact color and leather that i want for anything less than about 12-16 weeks. If i can, it wont compare to the design and quality i get with Bo's stuff. I also have a few Ligne Roset peices that I purchased before i discovered BO CONCEPT, which i love, but honestly they cant hold water to the Danish furniture.
I recommend BO Concept to everyone of my friends, and frakly they all thanked me. People who want quality furniture should be willing to wait, otherwise you are stuck with floor models or in-stock peices. Every single time i entertain guests at my home, i get tons of compliments and inquiries about my furnishings which i proudly tell them I got from Bo, but ofcourse make no mention of the great bargain i got! Happy furnishings people. :)

We are thinking of buying a sofa and loveseat from BO. Though the prices are quiet high (over $3,500) the company gives only one year warranty.
At the same time American companies give life time warranty on the same stuff. I'm wondering if somebody had complaints regarding the quality of soft furniture. My concern is that after awhile the cusions would sink due to bad quality of the foam, and you can do nothing about it.
Knowing the cost of labour in Europe and delivery cost it seems to me that the net cost of the furniture is rather low, and I guess that their stuff would be on the lower side of the materials quality. Maybe that's why the company offers only one year warranty.
I can't belive it....While visiting friends on L.I
I stopped into a Bo Concept and found the same Vase, which I recently purchase for $199.00.in their Madison ave.store, priced at $89.00.in the Long Island store ,Big differece.
So I questioned the sale person,to see if they where currently haveing a sale. She said no.
When I asked about the price difference, she expained the "new owners feel they can get customer in new Manhattan to pay higher prices."
I now shop at Ikea for the same products.

STAY AWAY from BoCONCEPT
New York and New Jersey STORES!
I have shopped at BoCONCEPTS stores all over the world, and the NY stores,
and New Jersey,
and Long Island stores
have incredible PRICE DISCREPANCIES, especially
on ACCESSORIES !!!! READ ON >>>>
The present SALES STAFF are TERRIBLE:
Hard to understand (Speaka da English?), and
ALL the good people they HAD are GONE!
These stores are SO DIFFERENT from my experience with their other sites, (virtually ALL OVER THE WORLD), which had always been decent, with good prices, and everything else you'd desire. BUT>>>>>
WATCH OUT!! Items in SOME stores are marked UP, sometimes as much as 200-300percent over stores in, say, Florida, or Virginia! WHAT GIVES?
I won't shop there anymore, and neither should you!
As a former New Yorker, I'm embarassed to have these stores in town - They don't represent BoConcept at all - shop anywhere else!!!!!!
-posted by Eric, a SMART shopper, but WHO CARES??
(Maybe the Danes ought to look into what the NY stores do?, and how they are abusing the, til now, good BoCONCEPT name ??????!!!! :( Boycott 'em
I love my purchases at bo. I furnished my entire loft with accessories and furniture from there. there are no other place in the city for one stop shopping. I saved time and money. best of all, my pad looks great.
I went to the pre-opening of the SoHo store. I gotta say it is my favorite Bo store. The showroom looks great, the accessories selection are amazing and moderately price, and the staff is extremely helpful. It makes me proud to be a Bo customer.
I have had a roller coaster of events w/ my local Bo.
the cambridge staff is very polite and very knowledgeable of their product.
but after waiting over 13 weeks for my sofa, I became impatient and before I knew it, was involved in a cat and mouse chase just trying to find the an answer as to when I could expect my sofa.
After now waiting 16 weeks, the sales associate, who was sympathetic and apologetic felt and was at his wits end, felt he had no choice but to inform me exactly how the company runs.
Did you all know that Bo Concept is a franchise, every store is privately owned?
I never would have guessed such a thing after my first visit. The showroom had all the glitz and glams to make me feel comfortable and safe to make a purchase. The staff were a group fun, energenic, and very trendy young adults.
I totally fell for the trap!
It's been down hill ever since.
The warehouse/delivery dept. in New Jersey is basically worthless. The first 3 times I tried to speak to thr store's cust. serv. rep., I was forwarded to a voicemail, with NOT one return phone call. I had to contact my sales associate and see if he could contact this person, and he was finally able to have her call me.
Once I had the chance to speak with this CUSTOMER SERVICE REP., she was very rude and short with me. She replied to my requests and questions aggresively. I couldn't believe this person, first was a Cust. Serv. Rep., and two was associated with the cambridge store.
The after-sale-service at Bo Concept is not worth the reasonable price you'll pay for the hassle of trying to receive your merchandise.
After waiting 17 weeks for my sofa, it finally arrived, 2 hours after my assigned 4 hour long window period, and the covers for the back cushions were two sizes bigger than the foam in it. What gives?
I see disaster ahead.
Cambridge Staff, you're all great, but get out now while you still can.
Buyers Beware!
Here's a hot Bo tip:
If you want Bo furniture at a discount get in good with the Chelsea Store Manager. She may let you check out their downstairs showroom. It's their floor sampleroom. They usually sell to designers, editors, insiders, etc. The prices are great. I just got a sofa and bed.
If you don't make it in, check out their warehouse sale - happens twice a year. It's almost as good.
What's up with all the hotties at BC? Ring me up some of them eye candy!!
Oh I have you all beat. First of all, to the above positive comment, nobody who lives in a loft in Tribeca (many thousands to rent, many millions to own) buys all their furniture at BoConcept. My sofa was delivered without hardware, had to drive to Bayonne, NJ from manhattan to get it. Barstool was broken, cheaply assembled dresser broke after 2 months and it took 8 months to get someone out there to repair it after I was stood up by the repair people once, BUT when the repair people came they stole my sony t7 slim digital camera with a 1 gig card in it and slipped out before I noticed. When my dresser was moved, it was built so poorly that it fell apart ($1199 plus ny tax plus $100 delivery plus 8% assembly all gone now). This is the worst experience ever and I wish I spent a bit more to buy nicer furniture because I would have saved more $$ in the end. Stay away, the only thing I bought that did not have problems was the nightstand for $349.
Don't bother trying to buy anything from this hokey outfit. I went there and placed an order for 6k bedroom set. Told me 1 piece was backordered and they would charge me another delivery charge of 100 bucks if i didnt want to wait a month for the whole delivery at once. Something very shady about this place.
Would you kindly send me the addresses of your stores near Cannes (France) -e.g. Sophia Antipolis>
Don't really have any thing bad to say. The furniture looked good. The price was nice. I bought my bedroom set. they delivered it. no problems.
rockstar, baby!
I went to BO Concept in NJ and was helped out by the danish lady who works there. She sent me like 5 different design plans and went above and beyond any help I recieved at places like Maurice Villency. The one grip, my mom noticed the drawers looked kind of flimsy and low quality (the inside of the draweres). The modular sofa designs are great as are the bed, but I wouldn't buy the matteress there. I am going to Bob's to get a queen sized tempurpedic for 799 rather than spend 1599 on one at BO.
great store though
Bought entire condo furniture in Scottsdale,AZ Bo Concepts. Have you seen them there lately? I haven't. Reason....They gone!!!!!!!!!!! What does a person do now?
wow!
Very happy with my experience at Bo Concept in Miami (Doral). The manager (Virginia) was more than helpful, she spent more than two hours trying different furniture options on their software (it is great, allows to present the furniture exactly as it will look in your room). The furniture arrived 7 weeks later, everything beatiful. Only problem (typical in Miami), the installers didn't know how to properly put together one of the tables, ended up ruining it! Without me saying anything, promised to bring a temporary one (which they did) and ordered a new one (I should receive it soon). Summary: great experience any way.
Bo Concept does have terrible customer service. I've ordered from them and waited the delivery date passed and no word! Its now 10 days late so i called the store i got the "read the fine print" story from the store. I refuse to be the one chasing down some "manager"in NJ. They gave me the #in NJ i will not call yet 1-888-616-3620 We will see; i wonder what that fine print said anyway? Mel

Are Bo Concept sofas comfortable to sit on?
I find most European sleek lined sofas not comfortable - they are rather hard and are too low in the back. Exception is Roiche Bobois sofas, they use Bultex foam (which is like memory foam) in the core of their seat cushions, wrapped in goose down, wool or else and they are heaven to sit on.
I live in San Francisco and do not have a Bo Concept store or showroom to test drive their sofas and would appreciate if anyone shares their opinion on the comfort of Bo Concept sofas (I like Invidi model most)
we ordered some shelves and 2 mirrors from the Cambridge MA store. Close to 600 dollars for a few items. Not super cheap.
After waiting 2 weeks for delivery, we picked up our stuff. What a disapointment. The two pieces we actually bothered to open were damaged i.e. holes in them! When we called to complain, the sales people were completely unapologetic and asked us to fax a bunch of forms to them and they would "get back to us". Needless to say, we were quite put out and insisted on simply returning the merchandise. We got a full refund (although they wanted to keep 20%!!). What a joke.
One more thing...the shelves were supposed to attach to the wall by a strong magnet system. The reality was double sided tape. Tacky.
We will never shop there again.

TERRIBLE experience.
Bought a limo bedroom set from Bo Concept. When it initially arrived, the bed was carelessly put together without support beams. They NEVER mentioned this. THis caused the mattress to fall RIGHT THROUGH the bed frame.
Next, the came and threw on some support "slates" and ended up putting the wrong ones (which I now have found out 3 months later).
Customer service is avoiding me.
The man at the warehouse claims he will "get to it".
All in all a TERRIBLE experience, NOT WORTH THE MONEY.
BEWARE DO NOT SHOP AT THE LIVINGSTON BO CONCEPT.
Inger Broch and Niels at the store will con you and be very nice but once the sale is over could care less and will not return your phone calls.

Bo concept has a bad better business bureau report. Yet another reason not to shop there.
link shows you that. or go to www.bbb.org and search for bo concept.
Looks like BoConcept in the US just doesn't have the customer service we've come to expect. I ordered my bedroom furniture 3 months ago from Bova, a BoConcept retailer in Cincinnati, was calling after 2 months for a status, since I was told 8-10 weeks for delivery. They refused to check into the status saying I had to wait until 12 weeks. At 12 weeks, they now have found out that BoConcept in Denmark has been having a hard time getting oak wood??? And I'll have to wait another 6 weeks before it even ships from Denmark!?! I was previously living in Europe, and generally like the quality of the BoConcept furniture I bought while I was there...but the customer service of the resellers in the US make it definitely not worth the hassle.
Bought a Limo bed, two dressers, dining room table and chairs last year at the Chelsea store. Had such a bad experience at the store, as the items that we chose from the catalog were not available, and the pleasant sales woman helped us choose alternatives, but pretty soon we had racked up a much larger bill than we had wanted! Buying our dressers drawer by drawer, rather than as a unit proved to be too expensive, so she gave us a discount. Nice of her, but then the manager summarily revoked it once we got to the cash register. His reason? Bo Concepts doesn't give discounts like that. We went home with a bad taste in our mouth and cancelled the dining room table and chairs the next day. Bought a nicer table and chairs and less expensive at Design Within Reach. The Bo Concepts bed and dressers were delivered on time but are shoddy. The face of one of the drawers falls off every time I open it, and the underbed drawer is rickety, wanky, and crooked. A panel on the bed also falls off all the time and I have to stick it back on. Some of Ikea's furniture is better. I'll never go in that store again and I tell my friends not to. I don't know what Bo's business model is--bait and switch? Sure seems like it.

Bought a sofa from Bo, in Miami. A year later and THREE sofas that were defective, they finally took the last one back but never refunded the money. It has been a nightmare to deal with these people, everyone has a manager that needs to approve the credit. We have hired a lawyer to solve this. I know maybe I wasn't lucky and many or most of you are, but if you happen to be the one that isn't, like me, you could be stuck for a long time. Service and quality are not there, and let m
