Christien Meindertma's Giant Knitting

12-12-FLOCKS1.jpg

One big rug. Dutch blogger, Danielle de Lange is posting the best finds, including Christien Meindertma's giant knitting with knitwear group, FLOCKS. The group creates clothing and housewares. This year, FLOCKS focused on the black sheep (amazing Pouf after the jump!) and last year each garment was made from the wool of a separate animal...

Great, just when I thought I was getting to be a pretty good knitter...
Those needles could double as ski poles.

What? No goats?

No seriously, I love that pouf and since I could never afford it, I'll have to try to make one of my own. I wonder how long it would take me to make a skein of felted yarn...

Neat idea! I recently saw a post about a guy who knits giant items using telephone poles and cherry picker trucks. Amazing! For someone just learning to knit myself, it's good inspiration.
