Modern Fairy Tale. We were drawn to this two-year-old airy and light-filled shop in Tribeca by a chance encounter with their website. Representing both furniture and accessories from Scandinavian countries, the store displays all of their merchandise with careful attention to detail...

Most notable is the commanding presence of Josef Frank fabrics and textiles licensed by Svenskt Tenn. Upholstery, pillows, wallpaper and laminate trays, all feature his bold patterns and colors. (Lately, Anthropologie has embraced these colorful textiles).
Our favorite items included the laminate trays and tray tables(especially in Manhattan textile), a classic drop-leaf table, dishtowels, and the massive sofa covered in a Josef Frank pattern ($18,500!!!)
The store also features the work of:
• iittala
• Royal Copenhagen
• Pappelina
• Asplund
• Carl Hansen
• Erik Joergensen
The store is lovely but the website needs a lot of work.
If anyone wants to know, the Josef Frank fabric from this store is around $225 per yard with a min order of 3 yards.
I tried to buy a yard online direct from the source (from Svenskt Tenn) and it ends up being $200+ per yard (including shipping).
I wish I knew what color that blue wall is...it is fantastic...
I visited this store about a month ago. The staff was friendly and helpful; they happily pulled spec sheets for me for several items.
The bright orange piece visible in the upper left corner of the second photo is a beautifully constructed dresser. In real life, it's more of an orangey-red, and if I remember correctly, it runs around $1,500. All of the wooden storage pieces were very well-made, with lovely clean lines, drawers that open smoothly, and beautifully applied color.
Now if only I could afford these pieces....
i never saw an expedit hung up to a wall before. neither 2 of them.
The store Just Scandinavian is eye candy,I love the design and the beauty in the store what they have, specially I love the Liljewalch couch and Ox chair
The store is amazing. Their website is great too if anyone wants to see some of the stuff they have before they go in. www.justscandinavian.com
