Keehnan was on to something when he asked for a new context for traditional Pierre Deux French fabrics and patterns — the company just launched a new division of modernized French style furnishings that blend more traditional French style with a modern edge and color palettes. FCL Style (FCL = French Country Living) is the online marketplace for this new collection — we've pulled our favorite images to share with you...

The five collections, with slight variations in an updated French style are:

• BOHEMIAN
• CLASSIQUE
• CREME FRAICHE
• COUNTRY CHIC
• NATURELLE

The collections include rugs, sofas, occasional tables, lighting, accessories and art. Prices seem to be competitive with brands like Williams-Sonoma Home and Restoration Hardware (though perhaps a bit lower in general).

I agree, baileyb. They definitely did a good job of updating French country things to the 21st century/modern style. after browsing i kinda fell in love with this table because i love hearts. http://www.fclstyle.com/p-s-i-love-you-table
